CHC33021 Certificate III in Individual Support The care and support sector offers the opportunity to build relationships, learn and grow across a variety of roles, and work flexible hours. As a support worker you'll build a rewarding career that will change lives—including your own. The CHC33021 Certificate III in Individual Support is the standard entry qualification for personal care work in residential care, home and community support, and disability settings. With the Individual Support qualification you'll gain the skills and knowledge to provide individualised care to people who need support due to ageing, disability or other reasons. A qualification in Individual Support can lead to a rewarding career as a: • Aged Care Worker • Disability Support Worker • Home Care Assistant • In Home Respite Care Worker. The CHC33021 Certificate III in Individual Support is a nationally recognised training qualification delivered by our industry experienced and qualified trainers.

Fee Information

Work Placement This course includes 120 hours of work placement to be completed by students who are not already working in the industry. Work placement will be discussed and arranged locally by the College.

Entry Requirements Students need the language, literacy, numeracy (LLN) and digital skills to meet industry requirements and physical fitness to undertake relevant tasks such as manual handling, shift work and repetitive tasks. Student's LLN skills will be assessed at course commencement. Students who require additional LLN support to successfully undertake the study program may be given assistance at a local level. Students must obtain a clear National Police Check and Working with Children Check to attend work placement and to work in the industry. Students must provide proof of vaccination against influenza and Covid-19.

Assessments and Course Completion Students will be assessed using a mix of written knowledge assessments, research projects and practical skills demonstrations in class and during work placement. A 'competent' outcome in all assessments is required for the qualification to be issued.

This training is subsidised by the NSW Government. Fully subsidised training may be available for eligible students. For more information about fees or funding contact your local campus to discuss your eligibility.
