BSB20120 Certificate II in Workplace Skills This qualification will prepare you to work in a variety of entry-level Business Services job roles. This is a very practical course where student learning is supported by engagement with local industry. Learn basic skills and knowledge including communication, teamwork, time management, customer service, digital technologies, and workplace safety. The BSB20120 Certificate II in Workplace Skills is an entry level qualification which reflects the day-to-day skills used in businesses across different industries and sectors. This qualification is suited to individuals who have not yet entered the workforce, and are developing the necessary skills in preparation for work. At this level, workers carry out a range of basic procedural, clerical, administrative or operational tasks that require selfmanagement and technology skills. Individuals in these roles generally work under direct supervision. The BSB20120 Certificate II in Workplace Skills can lead to a career as a: • Office Assistant. The BSB20120 Certificate II in Workplace Skills is a nationally recognised training qualification delivered by our industry experienced and qualified trainers.

Work Placement This qualification does not contain a work placement component however the College recommends students gain experience in the work place or as a volunteer to develop the practical skills to the theory units.

Entry Requirements There are no formal prerequisites or entry requirements for this qualification, however students will require language, literacy and numeracy (LLN) skills to meet industry requirements. Student's LLN skills will be assessed at a scheduled pre-enrolment interview. Students who require additional LLN support to successfully undertake the study program may be given assistance at a local level.

Assessments and Course Completion Students will be assessed using a mix of written knowledge assessments and practical skills demonstrations in class. A 'competent' outcome in all assessments is required for the qualification to be issued.

Course Resources Students will be provided with access to learner guides and handouts for each unit of study as part of the course fee. Free access to College computers is available by booking with the Campus Coordinator.
