NA’AMAT USA
For almost 100 years, NA’AMAT USA, International Movement of Zionist Women, has had one mission: to support the women and children of Israel. To accomplish its mission, NA’AMAT – through its sister organization in Israel – provides a broad range of social services, from day care centers to domestic violence shelters; from legal aid to alternative high schools. NA’AMAT has services and facilities in communities throughout the country, from Kiryat Shemoneh in the north, to Eilat in the south.
NA’AMAT – “A Voice For Women & Children – A Voice For Israel.”
NA’AMAT Israel
On the public level – NA’AMAT mobilizes and leads women to bring about social changes by initiating campaigns to influence public opinion and increase public awareness. We work to reinforce women’s awareness of their rights and value in the work force while pressuring employers to adapt to the special needs of the woman and her family.
To Achieve These Goals We:
• Initiate legislation
• Organize protests and demonstrations
• Provide public information and organize lectures and seminars
• Take part in Knesset committees
• File petitions to the Supreme Court
On the communal level – NA’AMAT provides support services to women, children and families in Israel. We provide the following:
Education Programs:
• Day care centers
• Agricultural, residential high schools
• Professional training programs for women
• Technological high schools
• College and university level scholarships for women
Social Service for Individuals and Groups:
Legal Counseling – Intervention, treatment and prevention of domestic violence support groups for single parent families.
Cultural Enrichment Programs for Women – NA’AMAT can be found in every corner of Israel. That is why we are fully aware of the changing needs of women and families. We make every effort to adapt our agenda based on these changes, while anticipating future needs.

On behalf of NA’AMAT USA, I would like to thank the members of the Cleveland Council for their unwavering support of the State of Israel and the work of NA’AMAT Israel. Sadly, the ceasefire that had been in place on October 6th turned into the hellish nightmare of October 7th. Hamas, a Gaza based terrorist organization dedicated to the destruction of the State of Israel, savagely killed over 1200 innocent Israelis. Israel was now at war, and she called for our help and you answered. Along with your sister clubs and councils across America, you helped raise hundreds of thousands of dollars for our Israel emergency fund. You also raised your voices in support of Israel and helped make our community one people - Echad Am with one heart - Lev Echad.
Today, NA’AMAT USA would also like to congratulate Erika Taubner Gold, the newest recipient of the Annual Golda Meir Award. As a Holocaust survivor, she dedicated her life to rejecting hate whether it reared its ugly head as antisemitism or racial discrimination. Erika gave of her time to her synagogue, her community, the State of Israel and NA’AMAT. We thank her for all that she has done and wish her many more good years.
Mazel Tov!

Dear Haverot,
It is our honor to greet you on this special occasion. We appreciate very much your dedication and commitment to NA’AMAT and your great efforts to strengthen and help our movement.
Since October 7, our beloved homeland is in a collective trauma; the times are very sad and the situation is tense, complicated, and unpredictable. In NA’AMAT we are doing utmost efforts with love and dedication to ease the situation for our families, our women, and our children all over the country who have been affected by the war. In addition, we are supporting our soldiers, women and men, in many different ways.
Your solidarity with us in these difficult times is very meaningful and is crucial! We are grateful that you decided to allocate the proceeds from this special event to the NA’AMAT day care center in Holon for the installation of one safe room. According to the regulation of the Home Front Command, due to the tense security situation, we must have a safe room for each classroom, otherwise the center cannot function. We have 83 children in 3 classrooms in this center, and we will be installing 3 saferooms. It is critical that we keep our day care centers open during the war for the safety of our children and families.
In addition to supporting working parents who depend on NA’AMAT for childcare, our programs provide stability, excellent education, and important support to the children and their families. In these most tense and vulnerable times, the role of NA’AMAT in Israel is critical for the well-being of our society.
We would like to convey our utmost appreciation and gratitude to the Honoree, Erika Gold for her contribution and devotion to NA’AMAT and the Jewish people. We admire Erika’s commitment to tell the story of the Holocaust to the younger generations as this is a very meaningful life mission.
We wish all of you good health and our best wishes. Let us hope for a brighter future for the state of Israel and the Jewish people worldwide.
Am Yisrael Chai.
Yours sincerely,
Hagit Pe’er President

Dear Friends,
NA’AMAT USA and our Cleveland Council recognize Erika Gold’s many years of volunteerism with our 2024 Golda Meir Award.
This award is presented to individuals for their personal and professional involvement in our community to help empower women, children, and families in Israel.
Erika continues to serve our community with her active involvement in the annual Yom Hashoah commemoration, speaking with thousands of students about the Holocaust, volunteering with the Jewish Family Service Association, and greeting visitors to the Maltz Museum of Jewish Heritage. She’s on the Board of Temple Israel Ner Tamid and speaker for the Kol Israel Foundation. Erika is a VP of the Northeast Ohio chapter of World Federation of Jewish Survivors of the Holocaust and Descendants.
We thank members of the Tribute Committee for their commitment to recognizing Erika and their admiration for her ideals in supporting their shared mission of NA’AMAT.
We gratefully acknowledge each of YOU for your support of the children in our day care centers, especially important since October 7th.
Thank you for your support of Erika Taubner Gold and NA’AMAT.
