LAS NUEVAS FRONTERAS DEL TURISMO

Conclusion Our economy depends on bio-diversity. Our lives and future depend on biodiversity. Therefore, a sustainable state and eco-local economy are essential and must include All of the rest of the creatures on the planet. We must learn to live with the idea that what is good for the world is good for us and at the same time, quickly teach our children how to share the planet with other species. That is the “Next Economy”. In various projects throughout Patagonia, concepts of the “Next Economy”, are being applied. Pumalin Park and the future Patagonia National Park are just two examples. Chileans, and people worldwide, are trying to make a more self-sufficient, locally minded economy, free from centralized political control and the impositions of an outside global economy. While change cannot happen immediately; undoubtably, we are in the stream and flow of fundamental changes. References Berry, W. (1987). Home Economics. New York: North Point Press.
