SUPERVISOR OF RESIDENTS, M.D.

The position will serve in a one-year capacity as junior attending and chief resident for the Charles R Drew Family Medicine Residency Program. The position is based at MLK Jr Outpatient Center in South Los Angeles.

Essential Job Functions:

• Provides direct patient care to patients in the ambulatory setting in family medicine clinic

• Supervises the care provided by family medicine residents in the ambulatory and inpatient setting

• Assists in training postgraduate physicians, both in the clinical setting and in the classroom

• Assists in evaluating the work of family medicine residents

• Provides mentorship and guidance to family medicine residents

• Participates in Quality Improvement activities and Practice Transformation to meet goals of quality, access, and experience for patients in a safety-net healthcare system

• Assists in scheduling rotations and planning activities for family medicine residents

Applicant Requirements:

• Completion of a Family Medicine Residency with progress toward specialty certification

• California State Physician's and Surgeon's Certificate authorized by the Board of Medical Examiners of the State of California.
