Above: Flora Hayes (15) took the win on her British-bred Oldenburg/Welsh pony Machno Excalibur, topping a class of 31 finalists. Flora has been riding the 11-year-old, known at home as ‘Scally’, since September 2021 and the duo were on the winning South & East team at the 2022 BD Youth Home International.

Above: George Chalmers-Gray and her mother Rebecca’s Jekaterina made the long trek from Scotland worthwhile with a win in the Medium Silver. Support from trainer Harry Payne encouraged the duo to contest the Area Festivals with the ‘hot’ mare who also took runner-up slot in the Equitrek Elementary Silver Championship.
