Film: Segovia, Song of the Guitar Charles Hallé Room 11.00am & 12 noon (film lasts 50 mins) A chance to see Christopher Nupen’s intimate documentary portrait of the legendary Spanish guitarist. The film dates from 1977, when Segovia was approaching the last decade of his life. Free non-ticketed event

Explore music, creativity and movement as you join workshop leader Beth Bishop and professional musicians from Live Music Now to listen and play new instruments and sounds. Main Auditorium Participants’ rehearsal 10.00am–1.00pm Public performance 2.00–3.00pm Join us for a family-friendly concert featuring a massed guitar orchestra of over 100 players of all ages and abilities. Join the orchestra as a player, with a choice of parts suitable from Grade 1 to 8 or take a seat in the auditorium for the concert. With special guests the Aquarelle Guitar Quartet, this is a rare opportunity to perform onstage at The Bridgewater Hall or enjoy a unique performance by over 100 guitars.
