Note from the Editor

Welcome to the October edition of The Felixstowe Magazine As always, Felixstowe set the bar for a jam-packed event calendar in September. This month’s cover was taken by local lad, Matt Huggins, of one of September’s much loved events, the Hot Rods car rally. You can see more photos of the Hot Rods rally from other photographers on our facebook page. We’ve had a huge response to our monthly competition again - we’d like to thank the Hand in Hand in Trimley St. Martin for their generous meal for two prize... it’s always a pleasure to go there, so be sure you answer this month’s competition question to enter your name into the prize draw.

There is some lovely content we’ve gotten our hands on for you, so grab yourself a cuppa and enjoy the read! Editor Mandeep Birdy 07929 979 073 info@thefelixstowemagazine.com www.thefelixstowemagazine.com fb: The Felixstowe Magazine twitter: @felixstowemag

The Maple Osteopathy Clinic

Interview with Lara Baker MOst, BSc(Hons), M.I.C.O. Lara Baker from The Maple Osteopathy Clinic, completed her degree in Human Biology and Psychology, and then went on to do a four-year Master’s degree in Osteopathy at the British School of Osteopathy in London. Since then, she moved to Felixstowe with her husband and two daughters, and opened her own clinic. How did you start your career in osteopathy? When I first qualified I went to work with my family, my dad being an Osteopath and my mum a Chinese Acupuncturist. I opened the doors to my own clinic, The Maple Osteopathy Clinic six months ago. Who can get osteopathy treatments? Whenever I meet someone new and I tell them I’m an osteopath, the immediate response is, “Isn’t that for bad backs?” The simple answer to that is no, it’s for so much more! Osteopathy is a gentle physical therapy that can treat aches and pains anywhere in the whole body. The most common ailments that people come to see me for are back pain, sciatica, and pain from arthritic joints. However, less common issues can also be addressed by osteopathy, i.e. headaches, fibromyalgia, rheumatoid arthritis, colic in newborns, and pregnancy aches. Many patients also choose to come in every few months for an “MOT”, to keep their bodies aligned, loose and functioning optimally. Osteopathy is a healthcare system that looks at the body

as a whole, no matter where the pain is. For example, if you had a pain in your right foot, we would have to look at your knee, hip, lower back, and your left leg, to see if those areas are compensating for the injured part. Without doing this you can never truly fix a problem in the long term. Quite frequently patients who have never had treatment before are apprehensive that the treatment will be painful, and will involve a lot of forceful “clicking and cracking”. This is most definitely not the case. My treatment involves a lot of gentle and rhythmical articulation, soft tissue work, and if any joints do need to be adjusted, or “clicked” then it is discussed extensively first so that you feel comfortable with the decision. The patient is always in charge of the treatment plan and nothing will ever be done that you do not feel comfortable with. It sounds great! How can people contact you? People who are interested in finding out more or would like to book a treatment can call me directly on 07828864421. They can also follow us on Facebook.

Mystery Shopper

Reviewing the latest and greatest of Felixstowe, here’s our Mystery Shopper to bring you her take on the best of our town...

Hachette Bistro - Cafe & Restaurant

You might not have spotted this little treasure on our seafront... one of Felixstowe’s newest eateries. It was a much needed breakfast treat with a friend that brought me to the Hachette and I cannot praise enough what the new owners have done to the place. From layout, to furnishings, from food to atmosphere... Not only is the setting elegant, tasteful and pretty darn swanky it also boasts stunning sea views and amazing food, cooked to perfection! There’s nothing quite like a bacon buttie to start your day, and to be honest, I was kind of expecting a regular butty; a ‘greasy spoon’, hand-cut granary bread with lots of sauce. However, to my delight, me, my diet and I were very impressed with the quality, healthiness and taste. Based on various trips to the Hachette, I can also recommend the pan fried salmon; the sauce (mmm!) and the gorgeous unique desserts. The staff are friendly, easy to have a giggle with and very attentive to our needs. Considering the chef, Liam, is a two star Rosette standard chef who has worked at top venues likes the Ritz in London and Seckford Hall, you’d think the prices would be sky-high, but no, I can happily tell you that everything on the menu is very reasonably priced. I really can’t wait for the seating upstairs to be open. Equipped with a seperate bar, it’s the perfect place for a party with friends and family, or a lovely evening out with your other half.

If you haven’t yet given the Hachette a try, do go and give the new owners a warm welcome to our town. I feel this new cafe and restaurant will be a fantastic addition to Felixstowe’s places to eat out. Hachette Bistro 129 Undercliff Road West Felixstowe, IP11 2AQ

Local Lad Random ramblings by the lovely Dean Wales...

Let’s Get Ready to Jumble If you’re looking for something a little quirky or a classy, yet unique bijou gift for someone special like a Kim Kardashian and Kanye West cruet set then you can do worse than to head to your nearest jumble sale. Let’s be honest, they’re fantastic for recycling stuff you no longer use and raising much needed cash for some worthy cause at the same time. But have you ever noticed that jumble sales have their own, yet as far as I’m aware, unwritten etiquette?

Firstly there’s the queue which, even if you arrive three hours prior to the village hall doors opening, is half a mile long. The older folk in the line, who have frequented jumble sales for 56 or more years are the most prepared. For one thing they’re in no danger of swollen ankles from standing…oh no. They’ve come prepared with their zimmer-frame (on wheels) complete with seat. As well as being a handy pew on such occasions this device doubles up as a battering-ram. I mean, how else would one manage to battle through the crowds to reach the crocheted crinoline toilet-roll lady, spied the previous day placed on top of a box of sensible shoes being loaded into the hall. Then just as your stomach protests from lack of food, the elderly couple nearest the door (they’d have camped out overnight) produces a foil wrapped feast of quiche, half a roast chicken and a rhubarb crumble which they then go

Felixstowe Mortgage Centre Ltd

on to reheat on a single camping gas burner. Talk about prepared, the most I can muster in such moments of hunger is a fluff covered humbug from my fleece pocket.

Suffering from chronic dehydration (except the pensioners who have brought tartan flasks containing chilled Robinsons Barley Water and hot tea to cater for all possible weather conditions) you notice the doors open. At this point you discover just how pointed little old ladies’ elbows can be. At 4 foot nothing, they jostle their way in to be first to the tombola, for a chance to win the Lily of the Valley toilet water and box of Newberry Fruits.

Heaven forbid you spot a pair crimplene slacks, still in their packet lying on the near-to-collapsing decorating table unsold. As you reach in to check to see if they have an elasticated waist, two ladies (adorned in those little, clear, cellophane rain hoods that tie under the chin), without making eye contact will close in on one another preventing you getting anywhere near them! Anyway, as jumble season approaches I’m off to visit my 92 year old auntie Lil for some jumble tips and to borrow a rain hood.

Local Centre

Rob’s Spiritual Awareness Centre Felixstowe resident, Rob Lummis, set up this non-profit centre two years ago. There’s an impressive background to the centre, so here’s Rob to tell us about it. Why did you set up the centre?

After going through the the experience of having cancer and coming out the other side, I wanted to do something for the community, to give back. So two years ago I set up the Spiritual Awareness Centre for the benefit of local charities and good causes. So far our lovely attendees have donated £2,400 to The Stone Academy, a special needs school in Ipswich for children with learning difficulties. There have also been donations to Sims, Multiple Sclerosis and this latest cheque to the Dementia Friends (see photo to the right) and supporters of alzheimers. When is the centre open and what do you do there?

The centre which is open on the first Friday of each month, is at the Welcome Hall, Trimley St Mary, High St, IP11 OTN (next to The Mariner’s pub). We’re open at 7-10.30pm (doors open from 6.15pm) and the entry cost is just £2 on the door. All are welcome to join us over a cuppa and cake. Any profits made go to local charities. There are healers, tarot card readers, angel card readers and mediums, all well-respected in their particular fields. All healing and readings are given by donation, and you book on the door as you enter. So be sure to arrive nice and early to ensure

you get your reading booked. There will also be reflexology and numerous stalls with handmade crafts, crystal jewellery, polymer clay jewellery, body products, etc. There will be a demonstration of mediumship, or a talk on a variety of spiritual subjects and beliefs. This month there is a mediumship demonstration by Sue Tyrell and Karl Bottomley. You don’t want to miss them.

Felixstowe’s Cultural Food Corner Cut-Outs Celebrating Felixstowe’s many cultural delights with what we love best... food!

Macaroons

Ingredients for the macaroon shell 225g icing sugar 125g ground almonds 125g egg whites (from about 4 medium eggs) 25g caster sugar 20-30 drops of food colouring ½ tsp flavour extract

and smooth and glossy, but not too liquidy. The texture is very important and tricky to judge; when you fold the mixture, it should form a ribbon on the surface. Transfer the mixture to a prepared piping bag with an 8mm plain nozzle.

Ingredients for the filling 150g butter, softened 75g icing sugar

Method Preheat the oven to 140˚C/120˚C fan/gas mark 1. Put the icing sugar and ground almonds in a food processor and blitz until you have a fine powder. Sieve the powder into a large mixing bowl.

Put the egg whites into a clean metal mixing bowl and whisk until they start to hold their shape. Gradually whisk in the caster sugar until the whites form stiff peaks. Finally, whisk in the desired food colouring and ½ tsp of flavour extract until all is well combined. Stir in 1/3 of the whites into the dry ingredients to loosen the mixture and then gently stir in the rest using a metal spoon. You want it to be nice

Pipe the mixture into a round shape about 2cm in diameter, onto a baking tray lined with silicone paper. Lift the nozzle sharply to finish the blob. Carry on piping more blobs, leaving about 2cm around each one to allow for spreading. You can smooth any bumps with a wet finger. Leave them to stand for at least 30 mins before baking to help them to form a smooth shell when baked. Bake the macaroons in the middle of the oven, one tray at a time for 12-15 mins. Try a small test batch first. Remove from the oven and leave to cool on their trays. You should then be able to remove them by carefully easing them off the tray with a knife. To make the filling, beat together the icing sugar and butter to give a butter cream base filling using the same food colouring and your chosen flavour extract. Pair macaroon shells of similar size and sandwich together with 1-2 teaspoons of the butter cream. Violá! Enoy!

Note: In September’s issue we published a lovely recipe for vegetarian noodles. This included parmesan cheese, however, pamesan cheese is not vegetarian! So veggies, please be aware and use a suitable hard cheese alternative. We’d like to apologise to our readers for not spotting the nature of this ingredient and we’ll certainly be mindful of such ingredients in the future for veggie recipes.

THE FELIXSTOWE TOWN CRIER UPDATES Felixstowe Town and Around News What a fabulous month of weather we have had during August. The beach and promenade have been crowded day after day with families enjoying all that Felixstowe has to offer and it was great to see that many of our beach side cafes and attractions remained open until late in the evening.

It’s now September and yesterday was Art on the Prom – once again this event was fabulous in all respects and even though the sun didn’t shine too much, thousands of visitors enjoyed everything on offer. Not only is the event artistically pleasing, but you meet so many people you know that it turns into a wonderful social occasion too. Well done to The Wyatts and their wonderful volunteers.

Indiscriminate parking seems to have been very much to the fore during the past month. Pavements, the corners of streets, double yellow lines all seem to be fair game now for some motorists. As we are all aware the Police do not now have a PCSO presence to monitor parking infringements although there have been two occasions when Police Specials have patrolled the Town and issued tickets where necessary. However, this is a very minor contribution towards solving what is becoming a serious nuisance. There is a long-term plan for Local Authorities to take over parking patrols with the same powers that Traffic Wardens/ Police have for issuing parking tickets. However, before this can take place all District Councils in Suffolk have to be in agreement with this proposal and the County Council has to ensure that all the lining/signage is up to date on all the roads in Suffolk – which is a major and very expensive piece of work! I do not think this will happen anytime soon. Another traffic problem to manifest itself involves container lorries that are missing their destination and crossing over the railway line at Beach Station Road, then turning left onto Langer Road and having then to go round the roundabout by Lidl’s and back again down Langer Road! Residents in Langer Road are, quite understandably, getting very upset and the matter has been reported to the County Council and the Police as well as local councillors. It seems the drivers are not local and whatever sat nav device they are using is clearly not working! Better signage has been suggested at crucial points leading to the Port – but quite what the answer is, I am not sure. The Chief constable and PCC are attending a public meeting in Felixstowe in September and I shall certainly be raising both the aforementioned with them at the meeting. Work is due to start on the new Pier head at the end of September. This long-awaited development will be welcomed by everyone in Felixstowe and is a major development on our seafront. Let’s hope it all goes to plan when it starts. It is also a huge investment by the owner in the future of the Pier in Felixstowe. - Doreen Savage.

Orwell Decorative & Fine Arts Society The Society had its first meeting of season 2016-17 on Wednesday Sept 7. The guest lecturer was Toby Faber who recounted the history of his renowned family publishing firm Faber & Faber through its illustrations, covers and designs. We heard a veritable who's who of modern British literature and poetry all with amazing book covers designed by talented artists. Toby's pride in his family firm was clear to see. A great start to our new season.

So why not come along and enjoy good company and an interesting talk? We meet at Tower Hall, Broadlands Way, Rushmere St Andrew on the first Wednesday of most months. Lectures last about an hour, are wonderfully illustrated and are presented by national and international lecturers. Guests and non-members welcome, provided we have available space. A £6 donation is asked. For more info tel. Wendy Robbins on 07736417347 or email info@ orwelldfas.org.uk. Visit our website at http://www.orwelldfas. org.uk/ for latest events and news. The Gainsborough Club As always in August we had our Garden Party to raise funds for our current charity which is Home start. The hostess brought her garden to a peak of perfection - and down came the rain. However we repaired indoors and managed to have a good time and raised a good sum of money.

By the time you read this we will have had our September meeting when the Rev Caroline Allen from St Mary's Church in Walton will have told us about life before the vicarage. Tell you more next month! Then in October we have our annual coach trip. If you are interested in joining this ladies group contact the secretary on 01394 448 604. As well as monthly meetings we have a weekly craft group and a drama group who perform entertainments for the membership and arrange theatre trips. We would be delighted to see you. Felixstowe Swimming Club It’s the start of another season for Felixstowe Swimming Club and we are actively evolving now with the Head Coach and Assistant Head Coach having a significant impact on improving standards and results.

We have made some significant changes to the timetable for this autumn which hopefully will deliver even better results for our swimmers. Also a new fitness group has been introduced, this is mainly for those swimmers who feel they no longer want to swim and train for competition but want to remain part of the Club.

During this October we have our annual trip to the Olympic Pool for Long Course training. This is always a popular event for both swimmers and parents; this year we have secured 4 lanes for the full session.

Our previously advertised free taster session is now being held on Sunday 2nd October from 6pm at Felixstowe Leisure Centre. We are particularly keen to recruit more young improver swimmers to the club as well as add to our new fitness and masters squads. If you missed this session you can still contact us and arrange another trial date. For further information, please email Sam on: membership@felixstowewaves.com or visit our website at www.felixstowe-waves. com and send us an enquiry.

The club provides teaching and coaching for all levels of competitive swimming at Felixstowe Leisure Centre. Our groups cater for all levels of swimming and training for ages 5 years and upwards. All our teachers and coaches are ASA qualified.

Felixstowe Recorded Music Society Our second meeting of this autumn, on Wednesday 5th October, sees the welcome return of John Poole as our presenter. “BlitzGrieg” is his title and John’s wealth of musical knowledge will ensure an informative and entertaining evening of listening pleasure; John always aims to mix some unusual

11 pieces in alongside the more familiar so we look forward to being surprised. If you would like to join us, we warmly invite you to give us a try - you’ll find us a very friendly group. Our meetings are held on the first Wednesday of each month at 7.30pm in the United Reformed Church Hall, Tomline Rd, Felixstowe. Visitors: £2.50 including refreshments. More information from Mike Fowle on 01394 275098, email mike@thorndyke.fsbusiness.co.uk or call into Stillwater Books in Hamilton Road for a copy of our latest newsletter.

Colneis Flower Club Maybe, like me, you do not like the long dark evenings of the winter months and the grey days with dark clouds scudding across the horizon. If that is the case, or even if you like them, you could brighten up one evening by visiting a Colneis Flower Club demonstration. The hall is warm and the chairs comfortable. The welcome is also warm and the audience friendly. You don’t have to actually do anything except sit, with like minded people and watch a demonstration of flower arranging done by the experts. As well as being very good flower arrangers they usually have interesting stories to tell and tips to give other aspiring flower arrangers in the audience. At the end of the demonstration there is coffee, tea and biscuits on offer and a raffle for the lovely arrangements made during the evening. Whether you are young or not so young, live near or far, why not come along and find out for yourself what happens at one of our meetings? I am sure you will enjoy it. Lioness Club of Felixstowe Well, the summer is drawing to a close and we will all soon be in ‘New Term’ mode. However, as I write this, several Lionesses are looking forward to a river cruise on the ‘Orwell Lady’ tonight, with ‘60s and ‘70s music and a buffet meal. Unfortunately, the weather forecast is for rain, but we’ll be optimistic and wait and see! We’ll have fun anyway, I’m sure.

Our big event this summer was the Charter Presentation Night of a new club, the Lioness Lion Club of East Anglia, held at Waldringfield Golf Club on 20th August. Several Felixstowe Lionesses attended along with many others; we enjoyed a delicious meal and were each presented with a badge and certificate by District Governor 105EA, Lion Nigel Folkard.

Don’t forget, there will be a Clairvoyant Evening at the Trimley Sports and Social Club on Wednesday 12th October, and a Quiz Night at Broadway House on Friday October 28th. We hope to see you there! Local Law More news from Jackamans’...

Jackamans

at 167/171 Hamilton Road, Felixstowe Over the past years, our newest solicitor Fiona Mann has shared her journey towards qualification with you and in last month’s update we spoke specifically about our flourishing Wills and Probate department in which Fiona continues to work as a fullyfledged solicitor. This month, we wanted to take the opportunity to showcase the other areas of law that Jackamans can assist with, and to reintroduce some key members of the local Jackamans team.

Jackamans provides residential and commercial conveyancing services to a large number of clients, both locally and further afield, and the Felixstowe office is home to a well-established property team. From our Ipswich office, the firm also offers advice around the difficult subject of domestic abuse

and has Legal Aid status. Should you need assistance, you can be assured that your case will be treated in an empathetic manner and in complete confidence.

Jackamans strives to keep clients well-informed at every stage of their case, in terms of costs and progress, to ensure the best possible outcome. We are very proud of our client feedback, and the fact that our clients value the personal contact that they have with our approachable, dedicated team members.

BASIC Life Charity

Since registering as an independent Charitable Trust in 2000, BASIC has been able to assist many groups, organisations and individuals with financial, practical and general support. We are a ‘people’ charity and believe our mission is to support those in need and to provide assistance for those who are otherwise prevented from realising their own charitable goals. It’s October already!

We don’t know where the months go as it only seems like yesterday that we were looking forward to the summer! We’ve had some really exciting developments and new ideas over the last month or so – here’s what’s been happening... Pop-Up Community shop

We were delighted to welcome The Rt.Hon Baroness Scott to our Pop-Up shop during September. She had been responsible for writing a House of Commons report on food waste for the government a year or so ago.

media, one of our Trustees, Mary-Beth, suggested we should open a BASIC Pantry.

No sooner had the suggestion been made than we had taken a donated unit and painted it up in the BASIC colours. We then placed it outside our Walton shop. The idea is that residents can ‘give as they can’ and ‘take as they need’. It’s unlocked and open 24/7. We’ve already been delighted with the response of the community with many people donating tins of food and toiletries. At the same time others are taking as they need. It’s so nice to see the community working together in a responsible manner. In fact the idea has worked so well and received so much media interest that we’re now in discussions with The Teapot Project in Ipswich with a view to working together.

We hope we can place more BASIC Pantry’s around Felixstowe and would welcome ideas as to the best place to put them.

Baroness Scott in deep conversation with our own Graham Denny

The Baroness described our project as ‘inspiring and magnificent’ and it was great to discuss her views and make some invaluable contacts.

Other visitors to the Pop-Up in September included representatives of churches in Ipswich and East London. It is likely that at the time of reading we shall have BASIC Community Pop-Up’s in both of those locations.

We want to expand the idea to all area’s and it’s so nice to see, what was a very simple project, grow so quickly. The Little BASIC Pantry

After seeing the idea, which originated in Australia on social

Local Artist

Katharine Moore Tell us a bit about yourself...

Hi, my name is Katharine Moore. I live in Woodbridge, with my beloved daughter Lily and our cats Basil and Persimmon. I have been an artist and bespoke picture framer for the last twenty-three years gaining experience in London, Australia, the Midlands and here in Suffolk. I set up Stripey Cat's Studio in 1999 and I offer a bespoke framing service alongside creating and making my art. Your work is beautiful and quite fun! What inspires you?

I am fascinated by indigenous decorative art and over the years have created many pieces based on studies of North African, Moroccan, Indian and Australasian native art. The process of creation allows me grow as a person. I get great inspiration from travelling, and spending time on our beautiful Suffolk beaches and observing the changing seasons in our beautiful woodland (I also have to add our crazy cats!). Each piece of art I create, I learn something new about myself and the world around me. I find the process incredibly cathartic. I think my art could be described as colourful, humorous, uplifting, sentimental and it is very much aimed at the adult/child in us all.

Everything I create is made with love, care, time, and attention. I am enjoying the experience of working with Dotillism which is a very intricate process using acrylic paint and a tiny brush. It requires great concentration and is a meditative process involving skill, spatial awareness and the language of colour. I really enjoy the process of mandala-making which is an ancient art which represents the beginning of life and the cosmos in a central point emanating outward in a circle. Mandalas are all around us in nature and the universe, in flowers, fruits, plants, even space. Where can readers see your work or buy one of your paintings?

I take part in local events such as Felixstowe Art on the Prom, Suffolk Open Studios, the Woodbridge Vintage & Makers markets on the Market Hill and the Woodbridge Christmas Street Fair. I also have an online shop at StripeyCat’sStudio@ETSY.com where you can buy my work. If you would like to see more of my work then you can find my Stripey Cat's Studio page on Facebook. If you would like to contact me directly about framing work or my art then please call 07767 607 822. If you have any further questions/queries please just email me at stripeycats@hotmail.com and I will respond promptly. Thanks for reading! Local Songwriter

In a Million Ways by Gillian Atacocugu

Local resident writes a beautiful song to raise awareness of and to help combat emotional abuse. Here’s Gillian to tell us more... What inspired you to write this song?

Initially I wrote this as a poem rather than a song, about emotional abuse. There are various reasons why it was written. A few of my friends had experienced emotional abuse and I could see first hand the toll it took on them. Also, there was an incident whilst I was at work, whereby one of my colleagues had interviewed a lady who had been the victim of various forms of abuse by her partner. She had suffered physical, financial and emotional abuse. In her words the most difficult form of abuse to deal with and recover from was emotional abuse. The scars are not obviously visible, but they are there. Reading that interview left a deep impression on me and shortly after I wrote my poem. Not many people are aware of the fact that in 2015 emotional abuse was made an offense in the UK. I hoped that by writing about this subject, more people would become aware of it. Although this song tells of a woman as the victim of emotional abuse, all people suffer at the hands of

suppressive people in their lives. I’m hoping this song will give people the courage to seek help if they are victims. The song has been beautifully sung. Who was the vocalist? I enlisted the help of the very talented, local singer/ songwriter, Gussie Stafford, to take my lyrics and really bring them to life. She has done a great job.

Where can people get help or support if they’ve gone through, or are going through, emotional abuse? In Ipswich, an organisation named Lighthouse helps women and children who have been the victims of abuse and who need advice or shelter. Lighthouse has endorsed this song, Felixstowe News TV’s Luke Smout put together a video to go with the music and Felixstowe Radio has given the song some air time, particularly on the Hugh Vale radio show. Well done to Gillian and Gussie. If you’d like to read the lyrics and have a listen, visit our website: http://thefelixstowemagazine.com/in-a-million-waysby-gillian-atacocugu/2016/09/

Local Theatre

Birthday Celebrations Already Underway The Spa Pavilion Theatre announced last month they have a truly packed Autumn season so this month we thought we’d look a little more closely at just three of the top shows coming to the Spa in October and November. We begin with ‘Fame the Musical’ which comes to Felixstowe as part of its UK tour on Friday 7th October at 7.30pm and on Saturday 8th October for a matinee performance at 2.30pm. Fame - The Musical is a bittersweet but ultimately inspiring story of a diverse group of students as they commit to four years of grueling artistic and academic work. With candour, humour and insight, the show explores the issues that confront many young people today. Also this month sees ‘Ultimate Bowie’ on Friday 21st October at 7.30pm. This show pays tribute to the work of a global superstar, in a show that is visually stunning and vocally impressive. Ed Blaney takes the spotlight and leads an eight-piece band that takes you from David Bowie’s early years with hits such as "Starman", through his remarkable career to songs like "Let’s Dance", “China Girl", and many more. Finally a look ahead into November when the Spa celebrates its’ 1st Birthday. On Friday 11th November a first for the Spa - Pride & Prejudice - 21 characters, 2 actors and 1 one of the most romantic stories of all time. Then on Saturday 12th ‘The Stars from the Commitments’ return for another storming night of thumping tunes to celebrate 12 months of top entertainment here in Felixstowe.
