ocated at Lido Place, SMJ Bowling Club (also known as Cosmic Bowling) is a great birthday venue for ages 8 and up. It has 20 bowling lanes and a pool table, with a maximum capacity of 160. For younger kids or those who don’t know how to bowl, fear not! There are support racks to help guide your ball to a strike. Tables and chairs are set up behind the lanes where team members and chaperones can sit and relax. The inner lanes are usually reserved for large parties and kids. At night, disco lights and loud music make for a funky atmosphere. Bowlers can bring their own food and birthday cake since catering is not provided, but drinks must be purchased from the club. Alternatively, you can go to one of the many restaurants located in and around Lido Place: SALT, Element Fresh, Mugen Japanese Restaurant, The Taj Pavilion, Eudora Station, The Patio Restaurant, and more. For a nice cold treat, there’s also the Baskin Robbins on the ground floor of Lido Place. Further down the road is Si’de Park, where you can let the kids loose in the greenery. Prices vary according to the time of day, starting with cheaper prices in the morning and becoming progressively more expensive as demand grows towards the evening. The following time slots are especially suitable for birthday parties: • 9am-noon: RMB 100 per hour or RMB 12 per game • Noon-6pm: RMB 150 per hour or RMB 20 per game • 6-11pm: RMB 200 per hour or RMB 25 per game The pool table can be rented separately for RMB 50 per hour and shoe rentals cost RMB 5 per pair.
