2012 is already a great year of celebration so we’ve put together a programme for you that really is fit for champions. Our first class line-up includes all your favourite authors and artists – more than ever before. We’ll listen to tales of flying cars, wild adventures and amazing animals, scary zombies and brave girl detectives and we’ll gasp as our awesome team of illustrators make their drawings leap athletically off the page and into life. The teen readers of Bath have been putting us through our paces. The result is KLF, a brand new strand featuring the authors writing the books that teenagers really want to read. Check out the centre pages if you think you’re old enough. Delve into our brochure and join us for ten days bursting with brilliantly bookish delights. Everyone’s a winner. Festival in the Community Bath Festivals produces a year round education programme bringing a great range of opportunities for young people to engage and develop their creativity through reading, writing and music. This year’s Kids Big Bath Read is the latest book from our Illustrator in Residence Martin Brown: Horrible History of Britain and Ireland. We are encouraging as many children as possible to read the book and write reviews of the book on our festival blog. Our Schools programme brings the magic of the festival to over 2,000 school children in schools across the region, to inspire young readers and the next generation of writers. This year our collaboration with Paragon School will enable even more children to take part in the festival; if your school would like to take part in these cluster events, contact the team on the email below.

If you are interested in journalism then take part in our Young Reviewers scheme.
