PITCH INVASION Festival Commission

With huge thanks to our sponsors SouthGate Bath and Bath BID, and to the venues and performers, who all help make this community event a very special night for Bath. Friday 17 May From 5pm – late Various venues in Bath City Centre Free Event

Inspired by the sounds and songs from the terraces at Bath City FC, composer Omar Shahryar and choreographer Deepraj Singh have worked with St Michael’s Junior Church School, Roundhill Primary School, Action on Hearing Loss Educational Day Services, and the football club to create an all-singing, all-dancing celebration of the things that make us different and the things that unite us. Hear their chorus, and cheer along with them at their special performance to open Party in the City. Pitch Invasion is funded by Trevor Osborne Charitable Trust and Joyce Fletcher Charitable Trust.

MOLES AND PARTY IN THE CITY 19.00 – 22.00 FAREBROTHER With a sound similar to the likes of early Catfish and the Bottlemen, The Amazons and The Pale White, Farebrother’s ambitious efforts are certainly making a noise in the underground, upcoming indie scene. With songs laced with riproaring riffs and powerful vocals, this Bath quartet are already constructing a sound, big enough and loud enough to fill large venues.

The tight quartet appear to have a knack for playing to their strengths in punching guitar solos, curating a very striking and polished ambience fit for large venues. 14+, under 16’s to be accompanied by an adult. 22.00 – 04.00 RAVE NEW WORLD | PARTY IN THE CITY OFFICIAL AFTER PARTY! After another amazing evening of great live music at Party In The City 2019, join us at Moles for the Official After Party from 10pm. Entry is FREE before 11pm. Tom Maddicott & Remy Melee bring you back to the golden ages of dance music for RAVE NEW WORLD! 18+

Share your party using #PartyInTheCity

EAT, DRINK AND BE MERRY When you’re heading out to Party in the City with family or friends why not sample some of the delicious festival food and drink on offer? You’ll find our Bath Festival bars open all evening in Parade Gardens and Queen Square serving everything from beer and west country cider to juice and mineral water. There will also street food at both venues. Choose from freshly cooked dishes such as chilli squid, charcoal grilled chicken or Tandoori burgers, from traders catering for meat eaters, vegetarians and vegans. And for a sweet treat, why not visit the Ice Cream Box in Queen Square for salted caramel ice cream, or blackcurrant sorbet.

PARTY ON! New for 2019 SouthGate Bath, The Bath BID, Bath Festivals and SparkFest bring the streets alive all day, every day for the duration of the Festival with pop-up stages throughout the city, live music and surprises. Look out for announcements and more on our social media channels.
