Harmony Development Update AVID’s Development Team has made significant progress on delivering Harmony’s masterplan this year – with the opening of the Bruce Highway connection road just around the corner, a new linear park scheduled to open in the new year, and the planning for the Village Town Centre well underway.

Connection road coming soon! Thank you to everyone who joined us for the Bruce Highway connection road tour in August. Harmony’s Development Team accompanied residents and the community on a one hour tour along the soon to be completed connection road, informing residents about the construction and planning process and provided an update on the final stages. Head over to Harmony’s website to view the video from the tour and subscribe to the mailing list to be notified of upcoming connection road events. The Bruce Highway connection road is on-track to reach practical completion by the end of 2023. We will keep you updated on how the road is progressing and provide an expected opening date in the coming weeks.

New parklands opening in 2024 Over the coming months, the Harmony community will see parkland continue to be developed, with construction currently underway for Harmony’s latest linear park. Planning for the Regional Recreation Park is also underway. We look forward to sharing updates as they happen.
Harmony’s new linear park, located in the Serenity neighbourhood, will consolidate four local parks, stretching a total of 450 meters and adding four hectares of greenspace to the community. Key park features include: » Elevated play towers, slide, tunnel mounds, bird nest swings, spinners, and climbers
» 1 kilometre pedestrian and cycle circuit » Kick and throw lawns with soccer goals » Static gym equipment
Village Town Centre on the horizon We are pleased to share that we have been working side by side with Council on the plans for the Harmony Village Town Centre – with the aim of lodging the Stage 1 proposal in the new year. We hope to share these highly anticipated plans with the community in 2024. Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting project!

Keeping Harmony’s streets safe Harmony’s development and community engagement team recently met with Queensland Police Service (QPS) to discuss reports of speeding on through roads and in the laneways in Harmony. After expressing these concerns, police are encouraging the community to report on any poor driver behaviour to Policelink via www.police.qld.gov.au/policelink-reporting. AVID have also engaged traffic consultants to survey Harmony and provide data to inform future actions.
