New parklands opening in 2024

Located in the Serenity neighbourhood, Harmony’s newest parklands will include four local parks, stretching a total of 450m long and adding four hectares of greenspace to the community.

Construction of these parks continues – with some minor delays because of weather. We are currently planning for these parks to open to the public following transfer to Council in the first half of 2024.

Tanawha Reservoir - Unitywater’s Harmony Water Project

How many trucks of concrete does it take to pour the base of a 12ML water reservoir?

It took 38 trucks a total of six hours to deliver 280 cubic meters of concrete for the foundation of the new Tanawha reservoir recently. Working closely with principal contractor, McConnell Dowell, the project is on track for completion by mid-2025.

The new water infrastructure will help meet the Sunshine Coast’s growing population demands, both now and into the future, including the 21,000 residents who will live in Harmony by 2036.

Learn more about the Harmony Water Project on Unitywater’s website.
