MYKONOS

Mykonos is one of the top tourist destinations in Europe. It belongs to the Cyclades group in the Aegean Sea and is famous for its cosmopolitan atmosphere, stunning beaches and vibrant nightlife.

The main town of Mykonos is picture perfect, with iconic whitewashed buildings, narrow streets and stunning sea views. It is also home to some of the most beautiful beaches in Greece, including Psarou, Super Paradise and Paradise Beach.

The island boasts a wonderful mountainous landscape, clear waters, long sandy beaches, churches, chapels and windmills. The Archaeological Museum of Mykonos was built in 1902 near the quay in Hora. It houses pottery from Delos, ranging from the prehistoric to the late Hellenistic Period (25th-first century BC), some grave items and jewelry from Rheneia. No trip to Mykonos is complete without a visit to the Church of Panagia Paraportiani, the most photographed monument on the island. Mykonos is dotted with windmills that have become a symbol of the island. The views of the town and sea from one of these charming structures is spectacular.

A cruise through the Greek Islands is a great way to see the country and all it has to offer. Tour the mainland and witness ancient history, travel to the islands for rich culture and picturesque, sun-drenched beaches of the once-powerful empire, experience lively Santorini from its quaint winding streets, and explore Mykonos and its famed whitewashed homes and churches. The best part is that you only have to unpack once to see all Greece has to offer on a cruise.
