OLF Otis Y43 was our high selling bull in 2012, selling for $11,000 for 2/3rds interest and full possession to Bar L 7 Simmentals, Calgary, Alberta. He is now in the bull battery at Bouchard Livestock International. He is in the top 1% of the breed for calving ease, yearling weight, ADG, maternal weaning weight and TI. He is in the top 2% for birth weight and weaning weight His sire, OLF Odin U5, was our high selling bull in our 2009 sale, selling for $15,000 to Bouchard Livestock. He is Homozygous Polled and Heterozygous Black.

We bought the Game Face bull in the 2014 Heartland Simmentals “Performance With Class” bull sale, and he was the high selling yearling bull. He is a complete outcross pedigree for us and posted some impressive performance numbers. He had a 73 lb. birth weight, and posted a 5.49 ADG and a 1434 yearling weight. His progeny have excellent performance. He is co-owned with Batas. He is Homozygous Polled and Heterozygous Black.
We purchased True Grit for a calving ease sire for use on heifers, and he has certainly done a tremendous job in that regard. He is in the top 1% of the breed in calving ease, birth weight, API & TI. A True Grit son from Batas was the top selling bull in our 2015, selling for $35,000 to Hart Simmentals, Frederick, SD. He is co-owned with Batas. True Grit is Homozygous Black and Homozygous Polled.

Free Time was selected from the 2015 Nelson Livestock Company sale. He was purchased for use on first calf heifers, and he has worked really well in that regard. He is co-owned with Batas. He is tested Homozygous Polled and Heterozygous Black.
Homo Polled, Non-Dilutor from 2 black parents. Purchased from Rancier Farms, AB. He is a total outcross calving ease bull that we have exposed to all the Bata and Olafson red heifers with great success. His calves are extra clean fronted and smooth shouldered with small heads. When you get behind them they all have some extra thickness in their hind quarter. Ranks in the top 3% for CE EPD. Semen available from Bata Bros.
