Curiouser and Curiouser… One of the nation’s best loved stories, Lewis Carroll’s Alice in Wonderland, celebrates its 150th birthday this year. The Co-op Juniors Theatre Company has adapted Carroll’s flight of imagination into a Christmas Spectacular featuring a cast of over 100 young performers and a host of stage magic and illusions - all in a major new musical production at Snape Maltings Concert Hall in Suffolk from December 4th to 13th. Projections, a huge stage lift and specially created stage sets are all planned to make this the most ambitious amateur production staged at the world-famous Concert Hall, home of the Aldeburgh Festival and Proms.

Hatter, The Queen of Hearts, The White Rabbit and Cheshire Cat all appear in this new song and dance epic with soaring musical numbers and a generous sprinkling of eye-popping special effects. 'There are a number of new versions of Alice in Wonderland in this celebratory year,' says director Rebecca Darcy. 'We wanted to develop an exciting new musical version which plays to the strengths of the Co-op Juniors in music and dance yet stays faithful to the spirit of Lewis Carroll’s wonderful book and characters.'
