Il volume descrive la Villa di Ca’ del Lago di Cerea, appartenente alla famiglia Dionisi, che da Cerea mosse i primi passi, sette secoli fa, per assumere al rango di marchesato. Così l’antico casato, come spesso nell’ambito della società veneta, volendo possedere con il palazzo di città una o più ville in campagna, arricchì il territorio con la Villa di Cà del Lago.Lo scopo era duplice: esercitare facilmente un direttocontrollo sulle terre messe a coltura e nel contempoavere l’opportunità di convocare parenti e amici,notabili e letterati, in una cornice agreste, ma anchedi fasto. Anche i Dionisi, uno dei più solidi e antichicasati veronesi, realizzarono la loro piccola Versailles. L’Osservatoriosulle Arti Applicate nel Mobile Nell’attività della Fondazione Aldo Morelato,il Comitato Scientifico dell’Osservatorio sulle Arti Applicate nel Mobile ha ritenuto fondamentale iniziare ad esplorare il sistema attraverso il contributo di un gruppo di studiosi e di esperti. Questa finalitàè stata raggiunta attraverso due iniziative: da una parte un Concorso Internazionale, dall’altra un seminario denominato “Giornate Internazionali di Studio”. Lago di Cerea, belonging to the Dionisi family, who took its first steps from Cerea, seven centuries ago, to assume the role of marquisate. The ancient family, as often happened within the Venetian society, decided to enrich the region with Villa di Ca’ del Lago, adding the country villa to their urban palace.A double aim was present: an easy control overthe cultivated lands and at the same time the opportunity of receiving relatives and friends, notables and men of letters in an agrestic but sumptuous ambience.Also the Dionisi family, one of the oldest familiesof the Verona plain, built there own small Versailles. OUTLOOKON APPLIED ART IN FURNITURE Among the activities of the Aldo Morelato Foundation, The Scientific Committee of the Outlook on Applied Art in Furniture has held it necessary to start the exploration of the field by inviting a group of scholars and experts.In order to execute this exploration two initiativeswere launched: The International Contest on one hand and on the other the seminar “ International Days of Study”.
