The strength of a network at the service of the Made in Italy The Italian artistic craftsmanship and the agri-food sectorselected by a technical-scientific committee since 23rd June is on show on the site www.regalitalia.it conceived and strongly wanted by Confartigianato
Www.regalitalia.it is a project promoted by Confartigianato, co-financed by the Ministry of the Productive Activities whose purpose is to lead both the Italian and European user-consumer to know better the quality Italian craftsmanship and the artisan enterprises to build up a look in a new way and to stimulate the foreign commerce together with its promotion. Major aim of the project is the creation of an e-market place – a virtual showcase of high quality artisan products and items – bilingual (Italian, English) guaranteeing visibility to a market made up of thousands of artisan enterprises, allowing above all the Italian areas less easily reachable to show themselves to international users. Every product which appears on the showcase is introduced with an image and the relative explanatory card, with materials, carrying out technique and data of the craftsman who made it. In order to ensure the best possible selection of the products to “expose” in the site’s showcases has been created a technical-scientific Committee in which the sector’s specialists participate. In particular the project’s aim is to lead the companies towards a modernization enabling them to increase the turnover, directing them, by means of a collaborationtraining period, to a business culture open to the international commerce, supporting them in designing and carrying out both products right for a virtual showcase and a business site reachable with www.regalitalia.it by the consumer and the foreign operator. The criteria for selecting the companies and the products of the above-mentioned portal are based on some “principles” which exalt the qualities of the Italian craftsmanship, getting inspiration from the idea of gift
and also from the aim of representing the taste, style and traditions for which Italy is famous worldwide. Every proposal will have to take into account elements such as the aesthetical value, the high presence of manuality, the innovative and inventive component in the shape, decoration and utilization of the materials, the uniqueness of the product, the reference to traditional carrying out techniques etc. Specifically for the agri-food sector
typical and traditional products will be chosen, whereas for the showcase “Chosen for you” unique examples or reproduced in small series and works carried out with innovative materials will be preferred; Regalitalia is planning also a space for the “emergent youths”. Following these indications it is thus possible to create the virtual showcases of a big Italy “shop”, different from the monothematic specialized shops or from the generic shops.
