Eye Contour Care The liveliest part of the face is the eye contour area. Being particularly gentle and vunerable, it requires special care that is not necessarily related to a specific skin type. Anna Lotan has developed a variety of innovative products for the eye area. The skin around the eye is the thinnest of all, especially sparse in sebaceous glands and therefore susceptible to developing wrinkles and expression lines. To prevent premature wrinkles, it is best to support the barrier function in this area by using moisture binding formulations to slow down water loss and minimizing or eliminating the use of emulsifiers. Alternatively, the eye contour area may develop puffiness due to excess fluids accumulated under the eyes. To reduce puffiness, it is recommended to use non-occlusive formulations which contain "lifting" components and herbal astringents that exert a gentle, firming effect on the skin. The product line includes a special "under makeup" cream formulated to "fill in" wrinkles, which is excellent for makeup users.
