Platinum is based in Edmonton, an economically deprived area of the borough and is a not for profit organisation. Platinum offers the highest quality training in all aspects of Performing Arts. The school boasts upwards of 250 students and has staged and produced several shows and productions at the local Millfield and Dugdale Theatres. Platinum was recently named ‘Dance School of the Year’ in its category by the Dance Awards Companies. Despite all of this, the biggest successes are the students. 9 students having been accepted on Full Scholarship to The Brit School, 8 on Full Scholarship to The Italia Conti Academy of Theatre
Arts, 3 have gone on to study at Urdang Academy, 2 to The Tiffany School of Dance and 1 is now at Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA) and the Elstree Studios. Some students have featured on musician`s tours, Music videos and even full time West End Musicals and Theatre productions.
• Contemporary (Level 1): Monday - 5.15pm to 6.00pm • Contemporary (Level 3) – Thursday`s 6.45pm to 7.30pm • Modern Jazz – Thursday`s - 7.30pm to 8.15pm – Ballet & Tap – Sunday`s Between - 09.00am to 11.00am (Various times depending on levels) • Performing Arts Combo: Saturday`s - 14.00pm to 17.00pm & Sunday`s 11am to 14.00pm • Contemporary (Level 2): Sunday`s - 2.00pm to 2.45pm 16
