MAT INTERUPTS TOPOGRAPHY The chosen site for the educational mat has a unique topography, with a mountain interrupting the mat system. during the design process we saw this as an opportunity to create a central gathering point for students to interact with each other. Interrupting the mat system over this key point has become a crucial aspect of the project. The site is quite vast, measuring around 1.85km2. In order to make it easier for students to move around and reach the studios and classrooms faster, we have introduced bridges with an overhead network. This has really helped students to reach their desired places quickly. The overall built-up area has been derived keeping in mind the actual topography of the site, while the mountain zone has been left untouched. Emphasis has been given to residual and corner spaces, which have been developed beautifully. The system of mat tackles everything in a very decent way, ensuring a smooth and hassle-free experience for everyone.

CONCLUSION The built typology of Mat served as a model. Le Corbusier’s Venice Hospital and Josic, Candilis and Woods’ Freie Universität in Berlin are two examples of buildings with an underlying modular grid system that organizes a mix of programmed and open spaces. Due to the homogeneity of its own system, mat construction sometimes fails in terms of urban development. Its uniformity can be interpreted as a contrast with the diversity of the urban environment. In response,an attempt to a system whose modular grid system and massing was derived from that found in the new diverse built environment, rather than a separate system from that of its surroundings.

COMMERCIAL CORRIDOR A carefully planned commercial corridor has been strategically incorporated to serve as a vital link between the residential district and the adjacent business park. This corridor not only enhances connectivity but also fosters economic synergy between the residential and business sectors. To ensure the seamless integration of residential units, a central core has been meticulously conceived and executed. This central hub not only facilitates efficient navigation within the residential complex but also ensures controlled access to the various apartment buildings, thereby contributing to enhanced security and organization. Moreover, a key element of the project’s vision involves the establishment of a self-sustaining business center. This business center is thoughtfully designed to offer convenient access from the nearby tram station,promoting ease of transportation for both residents and external visitors. The primary objective of this business center is to act as a revenuegenerating entity, thereby bolstering the financial sustainability of the entire project and ensuring its long-term viability. The revenue generated by this business center will be reinvested into the community, fostering its growth and development
