We welcome you to the Songkran Soccer 7s. Songkran is the traditional Thai New Year and is the time for Thais to pay homage to Buddha images, clean their houses, and sprinkle water on their elders in a show of respect. Anyone who ventures out on the streets is likely to get a thorough dousing of water, all in good fun, but also quite welcome at the peak of the hot season. The competition attracts 16-24 teams with Open & Masters Men categories.

The tournaments are played in accordance to FIFA Laws of the game except where there shall be no offside and interchange of players. Team of referees from Australia, Singapore, Thailand and Europe. There are 3 levels of competition (Cup, Plate & Bowl) and both winners at each level will receive trophies to mark their achievement. Registration of maximum of 12 players per team. Astroturf pitch 70m x 45m (3/4 size 11-a-side pitch). Full size goals to offer more attractive games! 15 minutes per game. Interchange / Rolling substitution. No Offside.

18:30 will be held at Patong Resort Hotel. The team captain/manager from each team should be present at this meeting. Clarification of rules and final tournament information will be given at this briefing. Each team will receive the official tournament shirts for their players. A few beers and other drinks will be offered by our sponsors!
08:30-17:00 The Songkran Soccer 7s will be played in high quality synthetic pitches. t will be played on a league basis initially. Teams will play each other in their group. Each team s final position in their group will decide whether they play for the Cup, Plate or Bowl trophies. Food & beverage will be available at the playing venue.
20:00 The will be held at a entertainment venue located in Bangla road with all players, supporters, friends, referees, officials and sponsors. Free BBQ will be offered to all participants.
20:00 will be presented by sponsors and officials who will award the tournament winners in a venue located in Patong Beach. The party will be entertained by a live band or DJ until late.
Up to 24 teams from 12 countries (Australia, Hong Kong, Singapore...). More than 30 nationalities, including some ex-professional players. 500 participants, relatives, friends, supporters & officials. 70% of participants are expatriates/locals living in Asia. 30% of participants are coming from Australia, Europe and Middle-East.
