Our plans for the publishing year 2014/15
1. Printing English version of our bestseller Fundamentals of Drawing in collaboration with our British partners. 2. translating into English a new manual, first published in 2012, Fundamentals of Painting. first we will oer an electronic version (e-book) for free to all the clients who buy its original version in russian. The final expectation is to have this manual printed in English as well. 3. The lack of professional teaching aid on composition will be soon fulfilled by yet another teaching aid by Prof. V.a. Mogilevtsev, Fundamentals of Composition. Language: russian. Expected release: end of 2014 / beginning of 2015. 4. reprinting both albums by Nikolay Blokhin, Drawings and Paintings, being in high demand since 2009. 5. among our plans is publishing an unusual book on human anatomy and we also have hopes for printing soon an album on Italian erotic frescos. Collection of academic drawings presented in this publication provides a unique opportunity to follow different directions and even “revolutions” that took place in the academy for more than two centuries of its existence.
Each spread includes closeups, made with a maximum quality that can be handles by modern printers. By clients’ responses some drawings look even more clear than their originals. The creation of this album was made possible by a tremendous work done by its originator Prof. V.A. Mogilevtsev, who within two years was searching for and selecting works from museums and archives of the Academy of Arts, the Russian State Museum and the Tretyakov Gallery. As a result is a possibility to see unique drawings, which are often stored in archives and appear on public display only during major exhibitions.

О чем эта книга В среде художников существует мнение, что учебник по композиции написать невозможно, и с этим нельзя не согласиться. Композиция это творчество. Творчество невозможно заключить в границы каких-либо правил. Если заглянуть в историю изобразительного искусства, то можно увидеть, как стили и направления сменяли друг друга, отрицая каноны, установленные предшественниками. Искусство классицизма отрицало правила, установленные стилем Борокко. В свою очередь, перемены происходившие обществе, ставили задачи перед искусством, которые отрицали установки Классицизма и т.д.
