INVITATION FOR COOPERATION AND PARTNERSHIP for spreading YOUTH LEADERSHIP among our global young generation at school Youth Leadership means „recognizing and training children and teens as change agents in their communities“. This goes beyond service-learning. Youth Leaders today achieve things like these: Xiuhtezcatl (15) mobilizes young and old for protecting the Earth and climate for our children, reanimates the sacred warrior values among indigenous youth. His speeches at Bioneers conference and the high level event on climate change at the United Nations are being called the defining speeches of his generation, are going viral in many languages. Robyn (13) has made 27 city councils pass the 3-pronged „Blue Community“ resolution: keeping water public, making it a human right and banning bottled water. Rhiannon and Madi (16) made Girl Scouts, Kellogg's and Wilmar adopt sustainable palm oil policies. Avalon (14) teaches climate, habitat, species protection through planet-friendly diet. Cassandra (15) has 150 restaurants recycle grease to biofuel, making $150,000 for social causes. Emma and Julia (15) have raised 77,000 books for 49 aboriginal communities, healing historic cultural divides. Gabrielle (16) has raised free, fresh foods for food banks by ten times, has four thousand volunteers. There are more, and their solutions can be replicated by young people everywhere! WHAT WE DO YOUTH-LEADER unites dozens of youth leaders with replicable model solutions under one banner to bring their uplifting stories, role model, solutions and support to our global young generation at school in 18 languages – through print, digital and online media, teaching tools, methods and services, such as „Live on Skype“ meetings, webcasts on UN Days, YL student club comunity and collaboration with visionary adult changemakers and experts. Our leadership program „Change Generation Rising“ empowers young people to grow up implementing sustainability solutions with the hero/ines of today with community and cross-platform reality game features, value for their CVs and personal futures, and even fit for use as non-formal curriculum across subjects and units. The solutions for peace, sustainability and abundance for all exist, and the good new world we all envisage is already happening around these changemakers. Together, we can take it everywhere. WHAT WE CAN DO TOGETHER As we are now forming a global community to step up our service to our global young generation, we would like to build on our strong history of collaboration with philanthropic clubs by partnering with the global network of LIONS, LIONESS, LEO and CAMPUS LIONS Clubs, • sharing our solutions, network relations, knowledge and „live“ services with your members • collaboration as local partners for connecting with schools AND mentoring inspired youth LIONS share something unique and precious with the young people in YOUTH-LEADER (YL). It is pure and unconditional commitment to the cause, without personal gain and hidden agendas.
