YICA welcomes children of any faith, ethnicity or nationality with equal respect and without prejudice. YICA boasts highly qualified teaching and support staff from around the world in an atmosphere that encourages appreciation for diversity and deep respect for Japanese customs. Due to our low teacher-student ratio, teachers flexibly customize courses to meet individual needs while encouraging children to do their best and achieve effective learning.

A crosscurricular approach with research and interdisciplinary activities at its core underpins our International Primary Curriculum (IPC) thematic units. A solid foundation in Language Arts, Mathematics and Science will pave the way to the more challenging Middle and High School programs.
