Interview: Kutchen Haus

Luxury interiors with Kutchen Haus

Please tell us a little about the background of Kutchenhaus? Kutchenhaus are a national franchise and are literally the shop front for our supplier Nobilia who are the worlds largest kitchen manufacturer! We supply high quality German manufactured kitchen furniture at competitive prices and we are passionate at creating stunning looking kitchens. Being a franchise business you benefit from dealing with a local personal team, whilst having the added confidence knowing we are backed by a national and international company.

Why do you think German Kitchens are so popular with UK customers? German manufacturing has a reputation for its attention to detail and high quality products and we find customers choose a German kitchen for these two principles. Our kitchens are not just well made though they also look amazing and arrive to the UK fully assembled and ready to install which speeds up installation and minimises missing or wrongly fitted items. We can also often supply our made to measure German manufactured kitchen for a price of an ‘off the shelf’ UK kitchen, which makes choosing us very easy!

You have stores in both Bath and Bristol, how big an area do you cover? We obviously cover the Bath and Bristol areas, however we often get customers who travel around an hour to visit the showrooms. Being on the M4/M5 corridor we often attract customers from Gloucester, Cheltenham, Swindon as well as the Somerset and Wiltshire counties.

How do you see the future in terms of the evolution of kitchens? Smart technology is continuing to change the world we live in and the kitchen will soon be full of clever gadgets. You will soon be able to control your oven, check the contents of your fridge or make your favourite coffee all from your smart phone.

If there’s one piece of advice you could give to a family in the market for a kitchen what would it be? Do your research and start planning early. Our leadtimes to supply a kitchen is around 6-10 weeks, however there is often lots that happens before an order is placed. If you are planning a kitchen extension then you will often need to get plans produced by an architect, seek planning permission and find a builder which could take anything up to 6 months. With this in mind it is really important you start planning early and really consider where you purchase your dream kitchen from. Check out reviews, compare showrooms and service you receive. Replacing a kitchen is a really big decision and it is important to you get the design right and choose the right company.
