FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS Who is a good candidate for Eat Well Meal Plans? Anyone who understands the value of eating nutritious meals, but doesn’t want to sort through the latest dietary hype to figure out what “nutritious” means today! It’s also for people who prefer home cooking and need help to save time with developing meals and menus that are both healthy and delicious. Is Eat Well Meal Plans a diet? No. Eat Well Meal Plans is about learning to enjoy what you’re eating while eating healthfully. Eat Well Meal Plans meals are designed for reasonable portion sizes and are more balanced in nutrients than the typical American diet. Odds are, if you’re like most Americans, nutrition and diet are areas you need to improve in your regimen. It’s also possible to see some weight loss after several weeks of preparing the healthy recipes from Eat Well Meal Plans. I follow a special diet prescribed by my doctor. Can I use your meal plans to achieve the same results? Eat Well Meal Plans is not a substitute for prescribed nutritional guidance, also called “Medical Nutrition Therapy.” If you do have a prescribed dietary plan, it’s possible to integrate Eat Well Meal Plans into your therapy. Always consult a registered dietitian (R.D.) to assist you in doing this. You can locate an R.D. near you at www.EatRight.org. What if the servings indicated do not accommodate the size of my family? Most Eat Well Meal Plans recipes are designed to accommodate proper-sized portions for a family of four to six individuals, as indicated on the recipe itself. It is possible to double a recipe or add a few additional portions of meat, poultry, or fish to an existing recipe. You can also halve a recipe for two people (or if this is a personal program, make an extra serving to freeze). I’m not sure how my children will like the ingredients in the meals. What do you recommend? Give your kids a try! You might be surprised at how many of the new ingredients they enjoy. You can lure them into liking these foods with one of our dishes where the meat, vegetable, and starch are combined in the final product. You may also deliberately pull some of the vegetables out to serve separately. The latter is a great way to train their taste buds to experience new, healthier meals. When will I have access to the weekly shopping list? You will receive a complete shopping list for all recipes included in the plan for each week on the Thursday preceding that week. This will allow you to decide if you need to organize your trip to the store to restock any pantry items. How do I renew my subscription? You will receive a reminder message when your subscription is coming to an end. To renew, go to the subscription page and re-register your information to resume receiving your weekly meal plan.
