Known as the “Waterpark Capital of the World®”, the Dells region is a favorite vacation destination located along the banks of the Wisconsin River. The City of Wisconsin Dells and nearby Lake Delton attract visitors year-round seeking adventure, relaxation, and fun.

The popularity of waterparks came to the area in the 1970s when Family Land opened. In the 1980s, the country’s first indoor water park opened in the Dells. Today, the Dells has more configurations of indoor and outdoor waterparks per capita than any other destination, with over 200 waterslides. Using more than 16 million gallons of water in the area’s indoor and outdoor waterparks, the Dell’s parks boast some of the biggest and best water attractions with rides like extreme plunge slides, bowl drops, water roller coasters, indoor surf machines, lazy rivers, wave pools and more.

The Dells region also offers over 100 attractions including ziplining, mini golf, arcades, ax throwing, and more. From adventure to entertainment, visitors have their choice of activities. Since 1946, visitors have enjoyed rides on the famous DUKW vehicles called “ducks” which take riders on a fun adventure by land and water as they splash into the Wisconsin River and Lake Delton, as well as traversing miles of scenic wilderness trails.
