The total solar eclipse of April 8, 2024, will cross the United States from Texas to Maine. The path of totality will pass through several states, including Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Missouri, Illinois, Kentucky, Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania, New York, Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine.

There are many campgrounds and accommodations along the path of totality, but it’s important to note that the availability of campsites and the proximity to the centerline of the eclipse may vary.

Some campgrounds that are directly in the path of totality for the 2024 eclipse include:

On the centerline of the eclipse: Natural Bridge State Resort Park in Kentucky, or one of the designated viewing areas in Missouri or Illinois.

Near the centerline of the eclipse: Big Creek RV Park in Missouri, or one of the state parks in Ohio or New Hampshire.

Other options: Lake Murray State Park in Oklahoma, Petit Jean State Park in Arkansas, or any of the campsites in the path of totality in Vermont.
