Based on the old cartoon series of ‘Dungeons and Dragons', Paramount Pictures has decided to do a CGI remake of this movie and bring it to life. The story revolves around the young father of
a ten-year-old girl who is trying to redeem and protect the ‘Tabernacle of Redemption', from the sorcerers of the land. The mother of this child, Aulgah must help them find this Tabernacle of Redemption to break the spell that was cast upon the people of the land. Hugh Grant and Michelle Rodriguez give a stellar performance in supporting this antagonist and protagonist of the whole movie.
This group have to go through a series of challenges to resolve this case by going through a maze of obstacles in the grand Arena to crack the code and save Aulgah from dying after being attacked by one of the black panther beasts who have venus fly traps on their backs(used to attack their prey).The Tabernacle of Redemption(which is actually a black cross) broke the spell of bondage which could only be used once for good or evil as well as removing the gold cuffs from their wrists that restricted this particular group from using their hidden power for all reasons.
Out of 10, I give it 8 for making some scenes very gory or gruesome, having amazing cinematography, visual effects, soundtracks that are phenomenal and a storyline that is immensely powerful with a twist to it. I was quite impressed and look forward to the next chapter of ‘Dungeons and Dragons-Part Two’.
