CULTURE WEEK AND CULTURE NIGHT GRAND FINALE HELD AT USIU 2023

Culture Week in USIU is a whole array of events as the students sing,dance,exhibit the best of each community with clothes ,shoes,jewelry,food,drinks,snacks,music and other accessories. They also promote tourism and other stuff that brings out the best of each culture. The 20 communities were well represented at this event this year which became a tourist attraction, mainstream media highlight as well as a branding and marketing platform for diplomats and other guests to visit the school from Nigeria,Yemen,Arab and Libya Embassies.
There were lots of games, makeup, and skincare giveaways for everyone from the L’oreal Team that is Garnier and Maybelline New York, Jenga Building Blocks, Cake cutting and speeches from the VC and her diplomatic guests, Maybelline Masterclass, and a hype master to set the mood, raffles, and color festival of Holi organized by the Asian community. The Culture Night was hosted by Kosch and the ever so vibrant Kawinzi (a former alumni student), who both did a fabulous job to keep the crowd on their feet and each team brought their best foot forward. All East African communities won overall awards as well as research awards that is Tanazania,Kenya and Uganda plus the small community award went to Liberia, while Kenya won two awards for best overall community 2nd runners up and best research community 1st runners up which was epic and memorable for all Kenyans in the audience. It was a brilliant occasion full of pomp, fashion, art, music, and color.
