Valpolicella is an area between the romantic city of Verona and Lake Garda, less than two hours away from Venice, with an area of about 230 square kilometres, a real jewel for the eyes and for the palate . Since ancient times, humans settled in Valpolicella, right here, in fact it was discovered the oldest human settlements in Europe, “the cave of Fumane, a World Heritage Site. Here they settled the first Roman colonies, here Dante Alighieri spent his exile away from his beloved Florence. Well-known since the days of ancient Rome for viticulture, and in particular for the Amarone wine, it is also important for the extraction of red Verona marble. When you get to this area you will be enchanted by the expanses of vineyards that reign supreme and are the backdrop for all the scenic routes you want to take through the five valleys of this area.
