Story & Photography by Tony Centonze Clarksville’s Bikers Who Care recently hosted its annual Red, White & Brewfest, one of the annual events the organization holds to raise money for local children’s charities, including Camp Rainbow.

“This is actually our ninth year for Brewfest,” Chuck Bailey said. “We were supposed to be at the ten year mark, but COVID-19 prevented us from hosting Brewfest last year. This is the first time we’ve done it here at the Wilma Rudolph Event Center. This location gives us more room, it has air conditioning and great amenities. It just works better.”

In recenty years, the members of BWC have been able to raise in excess of $100,000 annually, all of which goes to local children’s charities. Toy Run is BWC’s biggest fundraiser. The organization’s Brewfest has grown steadily since its inception, and the group’s Oktoberfest is another highly anticipated community event.

“This year, we have more than eighty craft beers and micro-brews, from close to forty different breweries,” Bailey said. “Each one offers two or three different selections, so I think everyone will have a great variety to choose from today. Coming soon, we’ve got the Toy Run, and then it will be time for Oktoberfest. Brewfest has been a good thing for us. We get to interact with lots of folks, and all this benefits local kids.”
