Appetite for Art

Kasey Naasen, Staff Liaison for Clarksville Association of Realtors’ Helping Hands Committee, greeted guests as they arrived for CAR’s annual Appetite for Art. This year’s event was held at the Silo Event Center in Hopkinsville

”We’re raising money tonight for Montgomery County’s F.U.E.L. Program,” Naasen said. “We’re having an art auction that features original creations from students ranging in age from preschool to high school. They submitted their art work and our committee selected the pieces that will be auctioned.”

About 115 people came out to support this year’s auction. Sandy Hester was Appetite for Art’s 2021 event chairperson. She spoke afterward.

“This is my first time chairing the committee for Appetite for Art,” Hester said. “I think it went well. We raised more than $11,000, which is great for a one-night event at the tail end of a pandemic. I’m really pleased, and we are all proud to be making this donation to Montgomery County’s F.U.E.L. Program.

“Coming up, CAR will be hosting a blood drive, then Thanksgiving for All. Then we’ll do the Salvation Army Angel Trees, and the DCS Christmas Baskets. Anyone who wants to help can find information on our website at www.clarksvilleaor.com or www.SpreadingOurSupport.com.
