Candlelight Ball Dinner

The Candlelight Ball is always a glamourous event, and although this year looked a little different, it was no less dazzling. Attendees were simply radiant, and seemed to sparkle extra bright after last year’s reprieve. Spirits were exceptionally high as Austin Peay presented awards to outstanding supporters of the university.

“At tonight’s Awards Presentation Dinner, we are very excited to celebrate this year’s award recipients,” Nikki Loos Peterson said. “The Wendell H. Gilbert Award is being presented to Sammy Stuard, and the Spirit of Austin Peay Award is being presented to Rhonda and Kevin Kennedy. They have all done so much for the city of Clarksville, and APSU. So, on behalf of the Candlelight Ball committee, we’re thrilled to be able to honor and recognize them tonight.”

“We also brought up our Candlelight Ball Committee and this year’s Co-Chairs to be recognized,” Peterson said. “We’re really focusing on COVID-19 protocols and guidelines. We’re keeping everyone sociallydistanced as much as possible, so everyone feels comfortable. And, we’re already looking ahead to next year’s Candlelight Ball. Our plan is to be back at the Omni Hotel in Nashville on March 12, 2022, where we hope to have between 650 and 700 guests.”
