Salute to Service | Military Appreciation Month

You would be hard-pressed to find a city more patriotic than Clarksville. While officially Fort Campbell is in Kentucky, the bulk of the base both in mass and personnel calls ClarksvilleMontgomery County home.

In 2020 for the third year in a row, Clarksville was a recipient of the Insurify Most Patriotic Cities award. The award is based on an algorithm and national analysis, but in Clarksville one look around is all the proof anyone needs.

The military is engrained in the fabric of our community. Clarksville-Montgomery County has fantastic retention of veterans because during their service it became more than a command, this became the place their hearts feel at home.

From our nonprofits like the Montgomery County Veterans Coalition, AUSA, Operation Stand Down, and others, to our stellar Veterans Service Office, Chamber of Commerce committees and community events, Clarksville-Montgomery County loves to love on our veterans.

May is Military Appreciation Month, and at VIP, we feel this is the perfect opportunity to express gratitude to them, and their families, for all that they do every day.

Officially designated by Congress in 1999, Military Appreciation Month takes place every year throughout the entire month of May.

365 days a year, 7 days a week and 24 hours a day, service men and women, our friends, family and neighbors, are on call around the world, defending the interests and security of the nation.

Because of our military, our veterans, and the unique world view and perspectives they bring, Clarksville-Montgomery County is a place unlike any another. All of the time, and especially this May, our hearts are filled with love, appreciation, and gratitude for our incredible service men and women.
