Wes Golden Announces Campaign for County Mayor

Story & Photography by Tony Centonze Wes Golden recently announced his bid for Montgomery County Mayor. The current Health and Safety Manager for the City of Clarksville announced his candidacy on April 8th. The official campaign kickoff and reception were held at The Ruby Cora, and catered by Nicoletta’s.

Golden is a Republican and a family man who has dedicated himself to the success of Montgomery County and its citizens. He has volunteered for the Montgomery County Veterans Coalition, Kiwanis, Urban Ministries, Friends of Dunbar Cave, Montgomery County Soccer Association, and the YMCA. He also served as a firefighter and licensed Emergency Medical Technician with Clarksville Fire Rescue. Golden’s wife Sara is a Vice President and Branch Administrator at F&M Bank. They have three children, Nash, Lydia and Mia.

“ … The unprecedented growth that Montgomery County has seen, requires a comprehensive plan of action that addresses both our community’s infrastructure and educational needs,” Golden said. “As your next Mayor, I will make this my top priority, while ensuring it is implemented in a fiscally and economically responsible manner.”
