Bei diesem Tisch aus Eukalyptusholz (45 cm hoch; 150 cm Durchmesser) arbeitete Amit Har-lev als Holzgestalter und Schmied: Den Baum hat er selbst gefällt, die Oberfläche der Scheibe selbst behandelt. Herausforderung bei den geschmiedeten, gelochten und genieteten Füßen war, das Eisen in heißem Zustand anzupassen, ohne das Holz zu verbrennen (Fotos Seite 47 rechts) 46
In creating this eucalyptus wood table (diameter 150 cm, height 45 cm; 59 x 17.7 in.), Har-lev acted as both wood designer and blacksmith: He cut the tree himself and also finished the surface of the tabletop. The challenge in creating the forged, punched and riveted legs was to shape the hot iron without burning the wood (photos on the right) 47
