El Museo Reina Sofía celebra con una gran exposición el aniversario del Guernica, pintado hace 75 años por Pablo Picasso para recordar el bombardeo de la localidad vizcaína el 26 de abril de 1937 .
The Reina Sofia Museum with a major exhibition celebrating the anniversary of Guernica, painted 75 years ago by Pablo Picasso to remember the bombing of the Basque town on April 26, 1937.
Algunos de los artistas más importantes del siglo XX estarán representados. Además de Picasso, se podrán contemplar obras de Miró, Tanguy, Moholy-Nagy, Man Rayy, Max Beckmann, Delaunay,
Mondrian,Kandinsky, Buñuel, Torres García o Mario Sironi, entre muchos otros para esta gran celebración.

Es un nuevo estilo de pintura, que no tiene por objetivo representar fielmente la realidad « tal como aparece » sino que descubrir una interpretación geométrica y pictoríca. Las fotografías en blanco y negro inspiran el carácter monocromo del cuadro para expresar el horror de la realidad.
Este cuadro reúne hombres y animales en un mismo lugar sin diferenciarlos del desorden total. Picasso se movilizó realmente y utilizó una forma del arte exceptional para pintar una obra que simbliza los horrores de la guerra. Así, se opone a los régimenes totalitarios.
It is a new style of painting, which is not intended to accurately represent reality “as it appears” but find a geometric interpretation and pictorial. The black and white photographs inspired the character monochrome painting to express the horror of reality.
This picture gathers men and animals in one place without differentiating the total disorder. Picasso really mobilized and used a exceptional art form to paint a work simbolizing the horrors of war. So, opposes totalitarian regimes.
