Taehao/태호/김태호 Yay, I love the holidays because you do not go school.

First I went to the city cinemas.

Then in the middle of the movie someone gave me some candy called Hi-chew.

Next I went to my daddy’s restaurant. I shared some candy with my brother.

After that I went to Britomart and rode the train.

Overall I went home and I felt happy playing on my ipad.

Katie YAY! Today is the first day of the holidays.

First I woke up early to play the best games ever which is Roblox and Minecraft.

Then later that night I watched a movie called the Lego Batman.

The next day I played Roblox again.

After that I watched a movie called The Smurfs and the Lost Village.

Finally on the last day of the holidays I went to my mum’s friend’s house. I was scared at first but then I played on a pogo stick for the first time ever and it was great when I got used to it.

Later I went home to play Roblox until school starts.

Overall I felt happy in the holidays because I had a fun holiday.

I wonder what the teachers were doing in the holidays.

Taylor-Mio Yah, I love the holidays so much because we don’t go to school.

First I went to the movies to see the Princess and the Frog.

Then the next day I went to Rainbow’s End with my cousin Pete and went on the Motion Master.

The next night I watched tv and watched Disney in XD. After that I went to St Luke's. I went to the shops and went to get a dress.

Overall I felt good because I had my favourite cousin with me.

Earon Yay! Today is the first day of the holidays.

I like the holidays because I have no school and it was my birthday party.

First I went to pick up my friends to sleepover at my house.

Then I played Tricky Towers with my friends.

Next we went to the arcade and Time Zone.

After that we went to the movies to watch Despicable Me 3.

Overall my favorite activity in the holidays was Time Zone.

I felt happy at my birthday party.

Ricky Yay, it’s the holidays and I get to go shopping because I need new shoes.

First I went shopping for shoes and I bought some shoes.

Then I went to the movies to see Despicable me and I liked it because it was funny.

Next I went to a restaurant to eat dinner.

After that I went to a bakery to drink and eat.

Finally I watched TV but my sister changed the channel to something boring.

Overall I felt happy because I ate ice cream at home.

Matthew Yay, I love the first day of the holidays because I don’t need to go to school.

So I don’t need to get up early.

First it was my birthday and I turned 8 years old and we went to the snow mountains far away.

We drove for hours and we stayed in a hotel.

Then we watched a movie called Minion 3.

Next we went skiing and I felt cold because the ice was cold.

After that my little brother and I played Minecraft because we can go in the same world to play Minecraft.

Finally we went home.

Overall I fet happy because the holidays were fun and I got to spend time with my family.

I wonder what will happen in the next holidays.

Lali Yay, I get to hang out at home because it is the first day of the holidays.

First I watched Puss in Boots on TV and slept in so late.

Then my family went to the movies to see Despicable Me 3. I liked the movie but I got popcorn on my seat.

After that we went to the restaurant at Genghis Khan because we didn’t have any dinner at home.

Next I went to dad’s office because I could not stay home by myself.

At dad’s office we were hungry so we went to the Hollywood cafe.

Then we went back home and played on the Playstation and the games I played were Minecraft and Skate.

Overall I think it is a great idea for teachers to give their children holidays because they want to make us happy.

I wonder how the teachers feel about holidays.

The children have been learning how to plan their ideas for writing.

They are learning to group their ideas and identify what the overall idea is about.

They are learning how to use linking words to link their ideas and how to use sequencing words to put their ideas in order.

Finally they are learning how to finish their writing with an overall statement that includes a feeling or a thinking statement.
