LAURENTIAN LEADERSHIP CENTRE

A one semester live-in academic internship program, located in the heart of Canada’s capital, for upper level undergraduate students of all majors.


Live and study for a semester in a historic mansion, just a few blocks from Parliament Hill.

READY TO JUMP START YOUR CAREER? Together with a small group of students, you’ll study leadership, ethics, public policy, culture, and faith. The LLC’s Director personally works with you to find an internship that matches your interests. You may intern in a government leader’s office, with an NGO or with a variety of national and international organizations located in Ottawa. There are many internships available to fit a variety of interests and passions.


During your semester at the Laurentian Leadership Centre, you’ll take 15 semester hours of courses, some of which can count towards the core and practicum requirements of any major. Upon successful completion of the program, you’ll receive an Undergraduate or Graduate Certificate in Leadership and Applied Public Affairs. Many LLC alumni have established careers taking leadership in everything from government to law, business to ministry, and international development to academia.

APPLY The Laurentian Leadership Centre runs in the Fall and Spring semesters and is open to Trinity Western students of all majors. Undergraduate or graduate students enrolled in a university or college that is a member of Universities Canada or CHEC may also apply to the LLC certificate program as a visiting student by filling out the Visiting Student Application Form. PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS Professional Work Experience Customized internship placements tailored to your skills, program of study and future goals. “This experience has made me feel like I have taken a shortcut to life. Relevant Coursework Transferable courses taught by experienced professors and dynamic guest speakers: from MPs to NGO professionals. “My semester at the LLC served as the perfect transfer of my TWU-developed Christian worldview into practical life.
