On the morning of May 27, 2023, the Armenian Relief Society (ARS) Inspire+Connect+Empower committee (ARS ICE committee) hosted a captivating seminar that united over 50 women from the Toronto Armenian community. The event aimed to provide an empowering morning filled with learning, networking, and personal growth.

Alik Farra, co-chair of the ARS ICE committee, warmly welcomed the attendees and highlighted the remarkable work carried out by the ARS globally and the Roubina chapter locally. Farra also emphasized the mission and goals of the ARS ICE committee before introducing the presenter, chapter member Natalie Gokchenian.

Gokchenian delivered an engaging and enjoyable overview of the influential book, The Well-Spoken Woman. This book equips women with the necessary skills to effectively communicate and present themselves confidently in both personal and professional settings. The event provided an interactive session where women from diverse backgrounds could come together, learn, ask questions, and share their own experiences.

Concluding the morning, Hasmig Zarokian, co-chair of the committee, expressed gratitude to Gokchenian for her excellent presentation and thanked the attendees for their active participation. Zarokian also revealed the committee’s plans for upcoming events and encouraged everyone to attend and offer their support.

The attendees departed with a heightened sense of confidence and empowerment, inspired to become well-spoken women. Each participant was also gifted a copy of Christine K. Jahnke’s book, The Well-Spoken Woman. The event fostered a strong sense of community, providing an enriching and empowering environment that facilitated new friendships and support.

The ARS ICE committee, a part of the ARS Toronto Roubina chapter, aims to inspire, connect, and empower women within the Toronto Armenian community. Their objectives include nurturing personal and professional development, fostering strong relationships, extending outreach to those in need, and promoting deep cultural connections among Armenian women. This seminar served as a testament to the committee’s commitment to these goals.

In the coming months, the committee plans to organize a series of exciting educational and professional events designed to uplift participants and continue fostering inspiration, connection, and empowerment. Stay tuned!

ՀՕՄ-ի ամէնօրեայ վարժարան կարդացէ՛ք (էջ 12): Երեքշաբթի, 13 յունիս 2023-ի առաւօտուն, Վեհափառ հայրապետը, ներկայացուցիչներու ընկերակցութեամբ, այցելեց ՀՕՄ-ի «Ռուբինա» մանկամսուր, «Պապայեան» մանկապարտէզ, «Գոլոլեան» նախակրթարան եւ «Լափոյեան» երկրորդական վարժարան։ ՀՕՄ-ի ամէնօրեայ վարժարանի տնօրէն Րաֆֆի Սարգիսեան՝ տնօրէնութեան, ուսուցչական կազմին եւ աշակերտութեան անունով բարի գալուստ մաղթեց Վեհափառ հայրապետին։ Ապա, վարժարանի աշակերտները գեղեցիկ յայտագիր մը հրամցուցին ներկաներուն։

Յայտագիրէն ետք, Գանատայի հայոց թեմի առաջնորդ տէր Բաբգէն արք. Չարեան բարի գալուստ մաղթեց Վեհափառ հայրապետին եւ ըսաւ․ «Մեր զաւակները ոչ միայն գիտութեամբ կը հարստանան, այլ մանաւանդ հայութեամբ կը թրծուին, հայութեամբ կը շնչեն եւ վստահ եմ, որ վաղը հայութեան համար պիտի պայքարին»։

Վեհափառ հայրապետը ողջունեց ՀՕՄ-ի ամէնօրեայ վարժարանի տնօրինութիւնը, ուսուցչական կազմը եւ աշակերտները. անոնց հետ եղաւ դասարանին թէ բակին մէջ՝ յորդորելով հայերէն խօսիլ եւ հայօրէն ապրիլ։ «Գանատայի երկու դպրոցներուն մէջ ես տեսայ կանոնաւորութիւն, բծախնդրութիւն, նախանձախնդրութիւն եւ մանաւանդ՝ հայու ապրող ոգի։ Ինչ որ հայ դպրոցէն ներս կը կատարուի սովորական կրթական գործ չէ, այլ առաքելութիւն է։ Հայ դպրոցը ոգի է, մարդակերտումի ու հայակերտումի դարբնոց է», շեշտեց Վեհափառ հայրապետը։ Ան նաեւ գնահատեց հայ ծնողները, ուսուցիչները ու բարերարները, որոնց գերագոյն զոհողութեամբ է, որ կը պահուի հայ դպրոցը։

Արամ Ա. վեհափառ հայրապետը Թորոնթոյի համալսարանի Ս. երրորդութիւն

Երեքշաբթի, 13 յունիս 2023-ի երեկոյեան, Արամ Ա. վեհափառը, Թորոնթոյի համալսարանի Սուրբ երրորդութիւն մատուռին մէջ ներկայացուց «Սուրբ Ներսէս Շնորհալին եւ Միջ-եկեղեցական շարժումը» նիւթը: Դասախօսութիւնը կը վայելէր Սուրբ երրորդութիւն քոլէճի Ուղղափառ քրիստոնէկան ամպիոնի Ճէֆրի ծվ. Ռետիի
