CAMP STAFF

ALLERGIES AND MEDICATIONS

All Summer Experience camps are supervised by a qualified adult camp leader. Safety and a positive experience are the most important aspects of our summer program, and we believe that this is best accomplished with knowledgeable adults who are passionate about your child’s experience. Our camps also staff a trained medical professional. Teen counselor apprentices will be used to help with experience, play, and group movements but your camper will always be supervised by a qualified roster of adult counselors and program leaders. Most camp counselors and coaches are trained in CPR/AED, First Aid, and Epi-Pen administration.

Important notice to parents of campers with allergies: The Steward School camps are NOT free of peanuts, wheat, dairy, or allergens. We make every reasonable accommodation for campers with allergies. If your child is in a camp where cooking or food preparation is part of the curriculum, please discuss your child’s dietary needs with the camp director. Children who require the use of epinephrine for lifethreatening emergencies will be asked to keep their devices with them at all times (a small backpack works well) or store them safely for the week with our medical staff.

LUNCH SUPERVISION

If you have any questions about our camps, please send an email to camps@ stewardschool.org. One of our friendly camp administrators will get back to you as quickly as possible.

Campers staying for the full day can bring bagged lunches every day or order a meal from dining services, and they will eat under the supervision of Steward camp staff. Many camps will also request that the campers bring snacks daily.
