Born and raised in Richmond, Madison started at Steward in Middle School, and her passion for dance began at West End Academy of Dance (WEAD). Throughout her school years, she attended WEAD for 13 years, followed by the University of Virginia, where she participated in a hip-hop group as a choreographer, dancer, and executive member. After graduation from UVA, she moved back to Richmond and returned to WEAD as a part-time faculty member. After several years of teaching, she became the proud owner of WEAD in 2018 and remains entrenched in the dance world of Richmond.

Thomas entered Steward as a freshman in 1987. He was highly involved in art, music, and theatre throughout his high school years, receiving awards in all three areas. During that time, he created the original Spartan logo, which was used for years and can be seen carved in stone above the entrance to the Athletic Center. After graduating from Steward, Thomas pursued his interest in the arts at VCU and in his career at Walt Disney World in Florida. During his 13 years at Walt Disney World, he held many positions that incorporated his training in theatre and art, including roles as super greeter, personalization artist, a variety of persona at every water park, and coordinator of training. He also created a backstage mural at Epcot. Thomas currently serves as Creative Director at Chilton SignWorks in Florida, where he has been for 10 years. Creatively, he and his wife, Jessica, are also involved with costumes and sculptures for cosplay conventions; some of their most elaborate work has included the Time Machine and Dr. Octopus.
