Utility Services Company Checking Existing Water Meters in Grasonville and Kent Island
Through the end of February, employees of Utility Services Company will be inventorying existing water meters in the Grasonville and Kent Island area. Most of the meters are located on the edge of the road but there are a few that may require access into a crawl space or utility room. This will only affect residents that are currently customers of county water service. All the contractors will have badges identifying them as meter technicians with Utility Service Co. They will be in marked Ford Trucks with Georgia License plates. Expect to see them working Monday through Saturday between the hours of 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
To avoid any confusion or surprise at seeing technicians that are not county employees, we wanted to make sure the public was aware. For additional questions or if you are unsure of the technicians are part of this project, contact Queen Anne’s County Department of Public Works, Sanitary District, 410-643-3535.
Tonya Wright Named Executive Director of Rebuilding Together Queen Anne’s County
Rebuilding Together Queen Anne’s County, Inc. (RTQAC) announces the appointment of Tonya Wright as its new Executive Director. Ms. Wright brings a wealth of experience to the position, including past positions working with people with disabilities and elders and business management.
“Ms. Wright is exactly the best person for this position. Her enthusiasm and concern for her fellow citizens is just what is needed in our organization right now. Our Board of Directors is beyond pleased with her hiring,” said Larisa Thomas, President of the Board of Directors.
Our National Rebuilding Day on April 29th will be her primary focus. Ms. Wright, a resident of Grasonville, holds a degree in Business Administration from Southern New Hampshire University.
