1. Two Framed Antique Photographs of Young Girls with Their Dolls 7” (18 cm.) Each is sepia-toned vintage photograph, one depicting a young girl holding the handgrip of a woven doll carriage in which is seated her Bébé Jumeau, the girl’s straw bonnet resting nearby on the ground, in original frame; the other depicting a young girl in silk dress standing against a richly-carved Victorian wall, her favorite doll clasped in her arms, framed. 5. Rare German Blue and Cream Velvet “Bully” by Steiff with Red Cloth Label 3 ¾” (10 cm.) (excluding ears). The miniature bulldog seated on back haunches, has aqua/blue and cream velvet cover, large amber glass eyes, swivel head, black stitched nose, black leather collar, and original metal button with underscored F, and red cloth label “Steiff 3410...”. Near mint condition. Germany, Steiff, circa 1927, the velvet Bully was made in three sizes only, this being the smallest size. A very rare model especially in these distinctive velvet colors and in superb condition. $1100/1400

The sepia-toned antique studio photograph depicts a gentleman with moustache, tophat and great coat, seated on a carved chair, holding a bonneted child who, in turn, is holding her favorite doll, in gold frame. 8. Pair, German Bisque “Boy and Girl with Pets” by Gebruder Heubach 12” (30 cm.) Each of the matched pair portrays a young boy or girl with blonde tousled curly hair (hers held by sculpted pink hair bow at the back crown), expressive features, sculpted ruffled smock with floral accents, pink boots. She holds a white dove in her arms to which she appears to be speaking, and he, with mischievous expression, is frantically holding a white bunny, tugging at its ear. Each piece bears the stamp mark of Gebruder Heubach, circa 1900. Excellent condition. $500/700

Bisque socket head, small blue glass sleep eyes, painted curly lashes, arched lightly-feathered brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with downcast pouting expression, very plump cheeks and chin, blonde mohair wig, composition and wooden fullyjointed toddler body with well-detailed muscular and chubby shape. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 231 Fany DRMG 248/1 A 5 M. Comments: Marseille, circa 1912. Value Points: rarely found model from this firm, its rarity rivaled by outstanding sculpting and quality of bisque, original body and body finish, wonderful antique costume, and carrying little Steiff lamb “Snucki”. $3500/4500

The three-tiered etagere with fancily spindled posts is laden with delicate filigree miniature furnishings and accessories, including parlor set and tables, along with various serving pieces. Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque slender torso, bright blue glass inset eyes, painted lashes and brows, closed mouth with hint of smile, blonde mohair wig, peg-jointed slender elongated bisque arms and legs, bare feet, wearing original silk gown. Condition: generally excellent, tiny back torso chip at neckline. Comments: French, circa 1882, the mignonettes were presented as “poupées de poche” (pocket dolls) in reference to the diminutive size. 27. Very Rare German Bisque Character, Model “119 Baby” by Kammer and Reinhardt 23” (58 cm.) Bisque socket head, small blue glass sleep eyes, dark eyeliner, painted short curly lashes and brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with defined space between the shaded lips, blonde mohair wig, composition bent limb baby body, antique costume including wonderful brushed flannel coat with long curly mohair fringe. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: K*R Simon & Halbig 119/Baby 62. Comments: Kammer and Reinhardt, circa 1912, a continuation model from the firm’s art reform series, the use of the English language word “baby” in the head markings indicates its intention for the American or English market; the scarcity of the model suggests either its failure as a commercial endeavor or its exclusive production for a specific store. Value Points: extremely rare, few examples of this “119/Baby” model are known to exist, this example with finest quality of bisque and sculpting, original body and body finish. $1800/2500

25. Large German Mohair Teddy by Steiff Along with Mohair Balls 26” (66 cm.) Light brown curly mohair teddy has swivel head, rounded nose muzzle with brown embroidered nose, amber glass eyes, stitched ears, jointed shorter arms and legs with felt paw lads, and with original Steiff button in ear and yellow tag (number illegible). Along with Steiff colorful mohair balls enclosed in original woven netting. Excellent condition. Steiff. circa 1960. $400/600

28. German Mechanical Walking Dog “TrippelTrappel” by Bing 12” (30 cm.) Brown-spotted white mohair pup with long floppy ears, amber glass eyes, light brown stitched nose and mouth, swivel head, tail, brown leather collar with leash, has hinged legs with hidden metal wheels allowing the pup to be pulled along in a brisk walking action. The dog has original red metal tag “DRGM D.R. Patent Trippel Trappel BTE SGDG Engl. Patent, Amerik Pat. Appd For” and with Bing logo on reverse side. Excellent condition, mohair well preserved. Germany, Bing of Bavaria, circa 1912, the toy was made in a variety of different dogs, but is very rare to find especially in this fine condition. $400/600

The firm-sided cabinet with bronze-green silk/ velvet covering and ormolu trim features three oval medallion panels with Italian mountain scenes in soft pastel colors. The cabinet hinges open at the center front to reveal eight drawers with ormolu pulls and tissue lining. There is a key and key hole. 147. Unusual French Candy Box as Wheeled Cart by Badeuille 12” (30 cm.) A wooden cart or wheel-barrow with fancifully-shaped frame and wheel is decorated with colorful painted and silk-applique scenes of flowers and a Japanese woman, with burgundy silk borders. The top of the cart has a curved cover which when opened reveals a silk-lined interior, and was likely designed as a candy box or gift presentation. The cart has the original shop label of S. 14” (36 cm.) Standing upon a heavy card stock barrel with three spoked wheels is a paper mache man with very expressive painted features, paper curls under original hat, wrapped armature body, wooden lower limbs, (frail) original costume, painted shoes, holding a fiddle and bow. When wound, he appears to dance a jig, bouncing his head and tapping his foot. Condition: very good overall. Comments: French, early 1800s. Value Points: very rare early toy with delightful pose, face, and actions. $1100/1500

28” (71 cm.) 17” x 18”. A wooden-framed apothecary shop has a painted faux-brick red exterior with large shop windows and door framed in wooden block “stones” that are painted dark green to match the base and roof line. Decorative green-painted wooden columns with gold accents are affixed to the front, and the paneled front door is natural wood. The front hinges open at the center, and the front door with cast brass handle opens separately, if desired. The interior is painted its original green with dark green and red stripes at the ceiling line. The shop windows are deep cabinets that are accessed by sliding-glass from the top. A wooden cabinet with 24 drawers that center a mirrored set-back display niche, and eight lower cabinet doors line the back wall. There are two attached wooden shelves on the sides and a wooden bin with open compartments. The floor is a rich inlay design of various woods in an intricate design. The shop is fitted with a vast array of apothecary bottles in amber and clear glass, many with original labels in old German language, along with numerous cardboard boxes with handwritten labels, and various glass beakers and funnels, cast brass mortar and pestles. A wooden counter has an attached cast brass scale, and an early carton gentleman with painted features and original costume stands in attendance. Original finish is well-preserved; overall excellent with some few very minor wood repairs on the interior cabinet. Germany, mid-19th century, in the early Christian Hacker style. $4500/6500
