Dads and Lads event at Newham Islamic Learning and Research Centre On the 1st of January 2012, a group of young Muslims organised a Dads and Lads event at The Newham Islamic Learning and Research Centre. Over 60 young people turned up to the fundraising event. There were a mixture of engaging activities on offer: PS3 FIFA Competition Tabletennis Competition Pool Competition Wing Chun Chocolate Fountain
Board Games: Connect 4 Guess Who Many Muslim professionals came down and networked. At the end of the event, food that was donated by local restaurants was distributed to the homeless and less fortunate. In total ÂŁ415.00 was raised to keep the Newham Islamic Learning and Research Centre going.
