ing in recognition of their mother. The sculpture and plants were blessed by Dr. Rosalyn Grady. Community residents are invited to visit the Centre, to view the sculpture and walk thegrounds and see the garden project. www.kaleinhospice.org

report that he awoke to some rustling in his house. Upon getting up and looking out his bedroom door, a black bear was seen looking at him from around a corner in the kitchen area down the hall. The homeowner was able to climb out a window and called police. The animal was described as a small black bear cub. Cpl. Stefani from Nelson RCMP attended. Upon walking around the side of the house to the deck, he was met what looked like a mother black bear approximately 10 feet away. The bear was able to be scared off. Upon closer inspection of the residence, a side door

on the deck had a screen pulled out of the window by the bear. It was unclear though if there was indeed a cub still in the house as the bear met outside was not a small animal. Cpl. Stefani entered the residence and cleared it room by room with nothing located and was satisfied the bear by the deck was the one that had been inside. It appears as if the bear went in and out the residence using the same window on the door. There was no damage to the interior of the house. There was also a small dog and cat in the house that were also unharmed by the bears attendance. submitted by the Nelson RCMP

When life goes awry, it doesn’t have to be the end. We all have a chance to hit the reset button. The question is whether or not you use it. In many cases, this can be seen as a drastic measure however that isn’t always the case. Resetting

your life can be as easy as making a minor change or a major one! A good way to start is to simply make a list of all the changes you want to make and set goals for how you can achieve them - a fairly basic suggestion but a building block that is necessary. Take what you’ve experienced and

use it to restart things. Regardless of the mistakes we’ve made, we all are entitled to as many chances as we need to get it right. Whether it’s your 2nd chance or your 47th, we all have the time, we just need to find it. Just don’t wait too long because, you know, life is short and whatnot.
