Texas Field Notes

Michael Smith and Clint King are naturalists who write about wild places and wildlife in Texas. We are particularly interested in reptiles, amphibians, and invertebrates, but we also love the ecological "big picture" of plant and animal communities. Our book, "Herping Texas: The Quest for Reptiles and Amphibians" will be published later this year by Texas A&M University Press. We have published the quarterly e-journal, "Texas Field Notes," since 2010 (with an interruption from 2014 to 2018).
