FINDING YOUR SIX SENSES REVITALIZE THE HUMAN SPIRIT BY VISITING SIX SENSES SPA AT RUE DE CASTIGLIONE. Located between Place Vendome and Jardin des Tuileries, Six Senses Spa greets your senses with a vertical garden, musical melodies overhead and an ever-changing skyline projecting light into the six hand-crafted wooden treatment cocoons. Spa practitioners welcome guests and discuss the menu of services offered from signature body and facial treatments, sensory journeys to Asian inspired therapies. “Locally inspired treatments such as the Paris Roof Top Honey Facial uses honey harvested from the city’s roof-top bee hives, nourish and protect the skin, while the Detoxifier Journey expels toxins and re-balances the body” she mentions speaking softly to the guests. With profiles completed and menu selected, guests make their way to a well-appointed changing room, dress in a white robe and then are escorted to a private cocoon, designed for individual guests or couples. Upon entering the cocoon the guests first notice the curved walls covered
with white rice paper, scented candles burning and the silhouette-like skyline of Paris while laying down on a warm comfortable table. With the Paris Roof Top Honey Facial the practitioner meticulously applies moist hot towels, gently cleanses and exfoliates the skin. Next is the signature honey based mask to moisturize, reduce oil and shrink pores. Cucumber slices are placed over the entire face reducing fine lines and wrinkles, and tea bags on each eye diminishing puffiness and dark under-eye circles. Guests relax for 20 minutes until the cucumber slices and tea bags are removed, and cool water washes away the mask. Moisturizer is gently massaged on the face, temples and neck. To extend this ultimate spa sensation, the practitioner escorts the guests to a sitting area, and offers herbal tea and nibbles.
